Unlock the first Hero, Sir Gerald Lightseeker, by reaching mission 4: Twin River Pass.
The Hero tab is on the map on the bottom right next to upgrades.
After a hero is unlocked, go to the hero tab and select the hero to be active.
Once a mission is started, hit
to select the hero and move him/her to a spot that has a lot of traffic. Heroes gain experience every time they damage an enemy or use an ability. Heroes can be knocked out for a short time if they take too much damage.
The hero does NOT keep experience.
A HERO MUST REACH LEVEL 5 DURING ONE MISSION.
This can be done on level 3: Pagras, or many other later levels.
Contributor gamertag: E vee dub, for the love of the game.
