How to unlock the Friends All Over the World achievement in Kingdoms & Lords - Definitive Guide

This was the first achievement I earned. I did not have 10 friends with the game, but I do have 10 friends on xbox live.

As part of the tutorial you go visit another players city and the game provides you with two NPC cities. I believe this is when the achievement popped for me.

Edit: according to https://www.trueachievements.com/PHYCO+LLAMA.htm the friends need not have the game installed so as long as you have 10 friends in xbox live this will pop for you very shortly after starting the game. The game automatically adds your friends as players at level 1 even if they don't have the game yet.

Today, april 28th, I've got 40+ XBLive friends, but only the ones with this game show up in the game's Social section and Kingdoms...
Has this been 'fixed' by a recent update maybe?

hmm.. I won this achievement after I started the game for the third day.... NOT having added any friends or anything in particular... strange, but I too won it without really trying.

Same here. Unlocked shortly after the first battle in the tutorial.

You just have to have 10 Xbox Live friends. It counts them as level 1 in-game friends, even if they have not played. You can't interact with them, because it says they are still in the tutorial for the game, but they show up in your list of friends' kingdoms, and show up if you click "ask friends for" buttons.

Thanks https://www.trueachievements.com/PHYCO+LLAMA.htm, I had wondered if that was the case. I've edited the solution.

This must have been patched or something. I only see 3 of my Xbox friends out of the bunch I have.

Just installed this on my laptop and I now see all my Xbox friends as lvl 1 players. Plus, it finally popped. No idea why it now worked.

I had to close the game twice, but eventually all of my Xbox friends got added.

Odd. On WIN8 it popped during the tutorial but on WP I had to open and close my game a few times like Android. Weird.

This achievement requires that you have 10 friends or more visible in the Social screen (Tools>Social). There are actually two ways to unlock this achievement:

  1. Have 10 friends or more on your Xbox Live list that have played Kingdoms & Lords at some point. All friends that have at least created a kingdom and saved it to the cloud will show up.
  2. If you have no friends at all that have played the game, ALL of your friends will show up in Social screen, which will get registered for 10 or more if you have that many total friends on Xbox Live.

So there are two approaches to earn this achievement. You can either find and friend request ten others that have played the game, which is the recommended route, or (temporarily?) remove all your friends that have played the game so ALL of your friends will appear and unlock the achievement that way. However, it is best to have as many friends as possible that play the game so the first method is recommended. Thanks to Avenged Remains for providing clarification on this. This achievement will not pop until after the tutorial.
