How to unlock the The Floor is Lava achievement in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning - Definitive Guide
Ok this is my first ever solution posted on here and I hope it helps anyone, at the final fight against Telgogrus he will shoot a havoc effect on you that'll stay on you for a few seconds after which it'll turn into a Flame Locus effect or a poll of fire under your feet which will stack and drain your health a lot in the fight simply don't step into an Ice like crystal which if you do it'll remove the effects of Flame Locus, i suggest making a separate save file and lowering the difficulty as fighting the boss at a hard difficulty and going for this achievement is pretty hard.

So your solution is 'lower the difficulty and make a seperate save file' ?

The fight on hard difficulty is ok but not cleansing the flame is hard which is why I suggested to have a separate save on lower difficulty to get it.

Missable
This achievement is missable, and takes place during the boss fight against Telogrus during the "Hope of the Fatesworn" quest. During the fight, Telogrus will put large yellow sun-like swirls on the ground. These are the Flame Locus fields. Since there was an achievement tied to not cleansing them, I actually don't even know how to do it, and unless you repeat the battle I suppose you don't need to know either. These fields will cause massive amounts of damage if you stand in them, and the longer he is alive the more he can possibly place, so killing him quickly is imperative. He starts with a chaos shield, so use your chaos weapon to get ride of that, then start dishing out regular damage. His chaos shield will return at 75%, 50%, and 25% health, so just repeat this pattern until he is dead. The biggest issue will be navigating this small room when he has put down 6-10 of these fields. I used two sets of chakram (one chaos, one normal) to defeat him so I could still attack if he was standing on the Locus fields. Actually I used them the entire time I played the game, but they came in extra handy here.
See the video below for a demonstration of this battle. The person who recorded this used some combos with the daggers that left him basically stun-locked, so if you're proficient with those, that appears to help as well.
