How to unlock the Would You Like Fries with that? achievement in Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning - Definitive Guide

When you unleash a series of attacks with a weapon by pressing cn_X repeatedly for your primary weapon or cn_Y repeatedly for a secondary weapon, you execute several regular attacks culminated by a finishing move. This is an attack chain. Attacking enemies with 100 of such attack chains with any weapon unlocks this achievement. The finishing move in the attack chain must connect for the chain to count, but the earlier attacks need not connect.

Players, most likely, experience their first attack chain in the prologue when they are introduced to the longsword. Since the chain is achieved by spamming the primary weapon attack button or the secondary weapon attack button, attack chains will be performed in the normal course of play. Consequently, this achievement should unlock fairly early in the game.

The chakrams are an easy weapon to use for this achievement because they are a midrange weapon. It is simpler to complete the chain without being interrupted as might be the case with a close quarters melee weapon. In the very short video below, The Twinned Souls chakrams are used as the primary weapon. It is available at the beginning of the game when the player enters the village of Gorhart and opens the special delivery chest. Two attack chains are shown in the video. The second is the character's 100th chain and unlocks the achievement.
Note that when the player levels up and acquires special weapons abilities, these also count as attack chains. However, the achievement would probably already have popped before these special weapons abilities are acquired.

Completed weapon chains consist of a series of basic attacks that end with a more powerful attack that grants you Fate. You'll earn this via natural gameplay, so there's no reason to grind it out.

For the sake of this guide though, you can nab this fairly quickly in Yolvan (the first area) by simply mashing cn_X/cn_Y with any weapon, other than wands or bows, when fighting enemies.

I am uncertain if you can just hit cn_X/cn_Y without hitting enemies, or if each hit must connect (such as an enemy dying before the final hit).

Attack chains are a series of moves that often knock an enemy down.

The first one you can perform is with a longsword or a pair of daggers.

Basically it entails hitting the cn_S button four times in quick succession for a main weapon or cn_T four times in quick succession for an secondary weapon.

Comolete 100 chains for the trophy.

Complete attack chains occur when you use a number of basic attacks in a row without variation. You'll notice your character will stop attacking for a second, then repeat the same pattern if you're mashing the same attack button constantly. This will easily come naturally as you play, especially if you're a chakram user.
