You’ve bested Kahrunk without killing his attendants.

How to unlock the The Harder They Fall achievement in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning - Definitive Guide

To get this achievement you have to kill the warlord Kahrunk without killing his two kobold attendants.

An very easy way to do this is as soon as the fight starts activate your Reckoning mode and mash on Kahrunk till his health is depleted and you'll get this achievement.

If you down one of his attendants on accident then you can let your Reckoning mode run out and then finish him off.

If I missed anything I can add let me know and I will change it and also please state why you're voting negative on this solution so I can make it better

Just because I'm a huge geek, his attendants are "kobolds", not "cobalt". Cobalt is a shade of blue.

As I said in the other solution you can kill the attendants first and the achievement still pops. Or at least it did for me, The story suggests you take out the attendants first as they are the ones making him "invincible".

@ClipsMcGee I wasn't aware of that and since the achievement stated that you only had to kill Kahrunk so I tried to do only that so I was sure that I got the achievement. And if you can get it when killing his attendants then it's probably a glitch and they'll fix it later

Hmm, Yeh. I just read the description and it does suggest that you shouldn't kill the attendants. However, that would be a bit harsh because it's a secret achievement. I guess if it is a glitch I got lucky. I'd be miffed if I'd messed it up.

I also killed all three in reckoning mode - but I performed the "finishing move" on Kahrunk. Maybe it'll work even if you finish a kobold, as long as the jottun is dead as well with the kobolds...

---SPOILERS---

You will need to kill warlord Kahrunk without killing his attendants

**as ClipsMcGee and Garbage113 confirmed, it is posible to get the achievement even with killing his attendants. it might be a bug and could be fixed**

- quest "Rites of Passage"
- second quest of the main story of "Teeth of Naros"

Once you have arrived at Remes' camp you will obtain a Primal Sceptre. (this will come in very handy if you are a mage)
You will be guided inside Kahrunk's Tower follow the path till you are outside again but at a higher level. wait for him to came to you, so that chance of killing one of his attendants is less likely than when they are standing next to him.
kill him and *Ding* achievement Unlocked.

This is a MISSABLE trophy.

This is done during the first mission of the main story after making it to the Teeth of Naros. You'll have to battle a boss and kill him before killing the other two enemies that fight with him. For more details, click the spoiler.

This is a missable achievement. Near the beginning of the DLC, you'll have to kill a Jottun Warlord named Kahrunk. He will be assisted by 2 Kobolds during the fight. Simply kill Kahrunk before you kill the Kobolds.

If you miss this achievement, this is the first real quest of the DLC, so reload a save from before you started the DLC if you have one and redo this quest.

***MISSABLE***

The Main quest 'Rites of Passage' requires you to kill Warlord Kahrunk. Enter Kahrunk’s tower and get to the very end. At the very end, before leaving the Tower and entering Kahrunk’s Tower Peak, save your game so that you can retry if you fail.

When you enter Kahrunk’s Tower Peak, you’ll encounter Warlord Kahrunk and 2 attendants in the back. Lure Kahrunk towards you, so that you can keep a safe distance from his attendants. Now, you can choose to use normal attacks and abilities to kill him, however, this could take quite some time since his attendants will heal him. The easiest and fastest way would be to active Reckoning mode by pressing and holding :l1:+:r1: simultaneously. You can easily take all his health before his attendants can heal him once. Once his health is gone, press :cross: to finish him off. Once he’s dead, you're safe to kill his attendants.
