How to unlock the Bewitched Leorina achievement in Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series - Definitive Guide
Story related. Cannot be missed.
This trophy is unlocked in Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil.
Cursed Leorina is the fifth boss that will be fought inside the Embryo Compass after completing Empty Sea of Tears ~Beyond the Sands~ for the first time in the game's story.
This boss fight can take some time to get used to, as the main strategy of the first half of this fight is to use the Erbil's unique double jump ability to attack Leorina from underneath and deal damage to her while she is in this form while she walks above you. Keep in mind that you need to time your double jumps carefully and space them appropriately when doing so to prevent her from dealing damage to Klonoa.
She will also jump from place to place once you attack her for the first time, and the same rules apply, but be sure to time and space your double jump attacks accordingly. Once two hits are dealt against her, she will begin to build up energy to create a shockwave that can attack Klonoa from any end of the screen. To prevent this, you will need to grab an Erbil, double jump, and then grab the one below her to use its double jump to attack her. Her attack patterns will begin to repeat after this, but be sure to keep dealing damage to her until the second part of the fight starts.
Once you get to the second part, it will start with her crawling underneath the floor as a means of making it harder for Klonoa to fight against her normally. The trick here is to grab a Moo, jump over any part of the floor that's glowing, and then perform a double jump once you see her underneath that floor piece to deal damage.
Once she has damage dealt to her for the third time, she will begin to jump around towards Klonoa while the metallic coating around her will now be black. The strategy here is the same as before, where you need to use the Erbil's double jump ability carefully to attack her once she's at the appropriate position for you to land those attacks until she is defeated and you have saved her.
In some parts of the fight, you will see a white orb orbiting around the ring that you can attack by throwing an enemy at it to slow her down. This is completely useful during the beginning of the fight as well as the parts where she will crawl from underneath the floor and make it much easier to attack her.
