How to unlock the Nightmare Seed achievement in Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series - Definitive Guide

Story related. Cannot be missed.

This trophy is unlocked in Klonoa: Door to Phantomile.

Gelg Bolm is the third boss you'll fight against in the story at the end of Vision 3-2: The Stopped Gear ~The Mansion of Machinery~. This boss follows a completely strict pattern and like all other bosses, there is only one way to attack it.

First things first, you should keep in mind that, unlike the first two bosses, you cannot throw any of the Moos that spawn towards it from the side like you normally would because they would bounce away from it. Instead, you will need to grab a Moo, jump on any of the springs that you see in the arena, and bounce on them to deal damage to this boss as it goes back and forth towards Klonoa.

While you're bouncing on a spring, you will need to press cross.png for a high jump before pressing it again to throw the Moo downward towards the boss's weak spot, which is its head (found between the two shells protecting it from the side). If you are familiar with the Spindle enemies from earlier in the game, you will have a better understanding of how this boss fight works.

After two hits have been dealt towards it, it will spawn a ball that will roll down towards Klonoa's path. Be sure to grab a Moo as a safety measure so you can double jump to avoid the ball coming down to you. Afterwards, it will jump high and land on wherever Klonoa's current position is at. When this happens, pay attention to the shadow, and when it's close to a nearby spring, bounce high off of the spring it's closest to and then perform a double jump to attack its head again. Once the third hit is dealt, its shell will turn red and will move much faster than it previously did.

When this happens, be sure to time your bounces on any spring you feel is best and double jump whenever you see the opportunity to attack it. Once it's at its final piece of health, it will summon a much larger ball than the one it previously used against you, so be sure to perform a high bounce and double jump as soon as you can. Afterwards, repeat the same process you did in the previous hit since it will repeat that same behavior, and you will defeat this boss in no time flat.
