How to unlock the Solar Eclipse Jester achievement in Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series - Definitive Guide
Story related. Cannot be missed.
This trophy is unlocked in Klonoa: Door to Phantomile.
Joka, Ghadius' right-hand man and the game's secondary antagonist, is the fifth boss you will face off against in the game at the end of Vision 5-2: Between Light and Darkness ~High Above Coronia~.
This boss fight can be quite tricky, but the main objective is to attack him whenever you see an opening while his hands are orbiting around him in a circular formation. Whenever it becomes dusk during the course of the fight, you cannot grab enemies or attack Joka until you change the colors of any floor piece. Joka also takes on a completely new form known as Shadow Joka.
In this form, he has three different attack patterns that can easily be avoided:
- Shadow Joka can slam its left arm around one half of the arena eight times. When this happens, you should try to move away from it as much as possible, but because there is no shadow underneath his arm when he aims it, it can be hard to see where he will strike his arm at.
- He will swing any one of his arms at a time. Be sure to jump/flutter over the arm he's using to attack you when this happens.
- Additionally, when he gets low on health, he will swing both of his arms at once. Thankfully, like last time, you can jump/flutter over them.
