How to unlock the The open-minded achievement in Knights of Pen and Paper +1 Deluxier Edition - Definitive Guide

In order to get this achievement, you need to make one character of every class. You start with some : Paladin, Warrior, Rogue, Mage, Druid and Cleric. You can unlock Barbarian, Knight, Shaman, Necromancer, Witch and Hunter. The ones you unlock are unlocked via quests, though I wasn't smart enough to write down which ones. If you highlight a town via the map icon the % by the name tells you how many of the currently available quests there are, so if you're missing classes you can check for quests that way.

As for "playing" all classes, it's as simple as creating the character. You can do this by making a new game in an empty slot (or over a slot you don't need anymore) and then creating characters. You can make the first 2 free, and the next 3 cost 10, 80 and 250 respectively. To save money you can just make 2 classes, press select and then choose save and continue, and then make a new game in the same slot and make 2 more until you get this. That's what I just did.

TheOnlyMatto commented how to unlock the classes.

Sunset Castle has a battle quest that leads to knight class (may be a slay quest)
Sunset Castle has a slay quest that leads to the bard class
Yoga Village has a travel quest that leads to the shaman class
Default Village has a collection quest that leads to the hunter class
Default Village has an escort quest that leads to the necromancer class (ends after you meet death)
Journey Village has a delivery quest that leads to the barbarian class (ultimate weapon quest)

Dr B1ackheart said this unlocked before he did the shaman, and Pink Freud PhD said it was the same way for him.

Just thought I'd add, but I got the achievement before I unlocked Shaman, don't know if he isn't needed for the achievement or my achievement was bugged and popped early, but thought I'd let others know regardless.

Same as Dr Blackheart above. As soon as I had played with all classes other than Shaman (not even unlocked it), the achievement popped early.

Just like Dr B1ackheart and Pink Freud PhD I unlocked the achievement without even having the shaman, I also noted that I didn't unlock the shaman in Yoga Village like TheOnlyMatto said, I did unlock it by 100% "Plains Temple" the last mission is called "Escort the Shaman" that's when it unlocked.

Very helpful! I had a similar issue not needing the Barbarian for the achievement, hmm.

Zic99, there is a Travel quest at Yoga Village that you have to accept which takes you to the Plains Temple which then gives you the quest for the Shaman. You had probably already done that Travel quest previously.

I also didn't need the Shaman for the achievement.

I DID require the Shaman for the acheivement, so seems its a little buggy.

Does anyone have any other ideas on how to find shaman class? I have completed Yoga village to 100%, but still do not have. Haven’t completed all areas to 100%, but was trying to avoid that. It seems like it rewarded me the class when travel quest was complete, but it’s not available to select. I was able to get the all classes achievement without it, but would like it for my speed run.

Nevermind: Should have read further down in Zic99’s comment. That’s where I got it.

You have to add the info about Shaman ti the guide. You unlock it by doing "Escort the shaman" quest after completing all quests in Plains Temple!
