How to unlock the Dungeon Delver achievement in Knights of Pen & Paper 2 Deluxiest Edition - Definitive Guide

For this achievement, you need to finish a dungeon. You'll need to clear a couple for the story so this isn't missable. The first dungeon you'll encounter is called Nearby Cave, which is found during the "Chest of Plenty" quest. Potions are super cheap in this game, so it's a good idea to bring a few. You can't rest in a dungeon, and leaving the dungeon causes any progress made to be lost, and the dungeon will have a different layout when you come back.

In the dungeon, there's a bunch of randomly generated rooms. The rooms can have a trap, enemies, an event that could be good or bad, or nothing at all. When going through a dungeon for the story it's best to simply concentrate on getting through the dungeon as quickly as possible, as you probably won't have enough gold to buy a ton of potions early on, and will run out of energy quickly.

For Nearby Cave, you need to find the stairs to the 2nd floor and then find the room with the boss. Achievement will unlock after you beat the boss and leave.

Weirdly I completed the first dungeon and the achievement didn't pop for me. I went back and re-ran it a few times and it still didn't pop. Any idea how deep into the game the second dungeon is so I can unlock? Also, wondering if the fact that the time I stepped into the boss room my whole team wiped first had anything to do with it.

It didn't unlock for me after the first dungeon either.

I found this unlocked after I had checked _all_ the rooms in the first dungeon, the second time through (to find the ninja). I found the ninja, then went and finished up the last couple of rooms, and the achievement popped around then or after I got back to town and turned in the quest.

Searching every room triggered the achievement to pop for me too. Thanks Spaceman!

The earliest you can do this is at the 'Nearby Cave' location - a level 7 dungeon. Even though you can complete the story quest without exploring all places, you might as well just get this out of way.
