great wt and ty. I think you could cut out a lot of the walking, or speed it up. Still, very useful. I just skipped to the point I could see what building you were approaching

When you complete the task of filling up the gas tank. Somply ignore the car and proceed everywhere on foot. This takes alot longer to achieve, but has to be done.

That's awesome! And it still counts as you not having driven?

@Sabot Fox - Yes it does because you're only using the storage compartment on the back of the truck and not getting in it. I think the achievement is coded to void if/when you enter a vehicle after leaving the store at the beginning. So it teleporting to you doesn't count as you getting into it.

Keep in mind tho' that the truck will not teleport to places that you can only get to on foot.

What a pain! This pretty much adds 4+ hours of just walking around to the game.

Does the snowmobile count? It seems you have to do something with it to cross off the last journal entry of "Further North".

If doing everything in one playthrough adds 4+ hours just to walk everywhere, I'd recommend doing a separate playthrough for this.
A quick run of just the main story only took about 2 hours.

Just a tip:

If you're trying to get everything in one playthrough, inventory management is kind of a pain in the ass when getting this, but you can exploit the vehicle's storage without driving it. Simply put stuff in the back of the truck and when you reach a save point (i.e. someplace with a fire burning) reload your last checkpoint (which should be right where you're currently standing).

The game is nice enough to think that you drove wherever you are now and teleports your truck to you.

You will be forced to drive during the beginning parts of the game. Once you pull the truck up to the General Store, next to the gas pumps, is when this trophy begins. As the trophy says, you're going to have to walk everywhere. This means that lighting fires is key, especially if you're trying to do everything in a single playthrough, so always keep fire starters, matches, and at least one log in your inventory at all times. You may also want to go out of your way to get the warmer clothes as early as possible – see Winter is Coming for more information on that.

If you've decided to do two playthroughs of the game, this won't be as hard of a trophy. Step 2 of the Roadmap has a link to a speedrun specifically designed for game-spanning trophies like this and Firearms Registry, so follow that and you'll be fine.

The trophy will unlock at the end of the game, when Carl is on the boat.
