How to unlock the Vegan achievement in Kona - Definitive Guide

Make sure to have at least one steak in your inventory towards the end-game

The first time you meet the strange creature is towards the end-game. There will be a few cut-scenes with major spoilers, and you'll be face-to-face with the creature afterwards. You'll see your character crawling away from said creature who will be slowly getting up. Once you can control your character, access your inventory (cn_Y), select Equipment and select the steak and throw it in the creature's general direction. The achievement will pop up shortly after.

Additionally, if you have the rifle as well, you'll have enough time to score a hit after throwing the steak, which will net you the "Bulletproof" achievement.

I'm at Santuary and have no Steak. Do you know if there are any to pick up further along? I really hope so!

This is as simple as throwing a steak at the Wendigo

The strange creature shows up near the very end of the game, and has a few trophies tied to it. For this one, you will need to keep a steak in your inventory and take it past the ice wall (the wolves past the ice wall don't seem to respond to steaks anyways, so don't bother). Once you finish the flashback that triggers when you pull the bolt from the strange creature, equip a steak and toss it at the creature to unlock this trophy.
