How to unlock the All Badges achievement in KrissX - Definitive Guide

There are some badges for unlocking game types and special puzzles and badges in bronze, silver, gold, platinum and ultimate levels in several categories as follows.

Score
Quickfire
Multiplier
Performance
Token
Pondering
Progress
Addiction

Nearly all of these you'll get just by playing quest mode. You will need to get to level 100 to get the ultimate progress badge. By the time I had done that I had all the badges apart from the last three pondering ones (given for taking time thinking).

Easiest way to get these last few is to do the special stages and just leave the game running and not completing the grid. After a period of time (some minutes) complete the grid and you should get the next level badge.

PS a general tip for the game is you can pause at any time and still see the grid. The clock does not decrease when paused. The game is easy anyway so you probably won't need to do this!

Thanks for explaining what the pondering badges are for. I got one when I got up to get a drink, but didn't realize what I got it for!

It appears you need a total of about 30 minutes 'pondering' to get the ultimate badge.

What are the addiction badges for? Playing a certain number of puzzles in a row?

anyone know if you need to reach a certain number on the multiplier to get the ultimate badge? or is it based on how many times you start a multiplier?

Quickfire is probably awarded for clearing grids quickly and/or completing words quickly. Only tip I can give is to play quickly!!

I think x15 is the ultimate multiplier. I got it while I was trying to get the Extreme Wildfire on the first special puzzle. I was at x17 after that.

Not sure. I played to level 100 in one sitting and had got the ultimate addiction badge by then. Could be total time played maybe?

if you are struggling to solve the puzzles fast enough for the ultimate quickfire badge my suggestion would be: pause the game the moment the letters come up (you should still be able to see all/most of the letters and it pauses the in game clock!) and then use an online anagram solver. I found this one useful: http://www.ssynth.co.uk/~gay/anagram.html

In relation to those struggling with the ultimate multiplier badge credit to ShazamFTW on xbox360achievements who suggests playing the special puzzle called "what a state!" As the state names are easily recognizable you can therefore play them quickly and your multiplier shoots up to about 13x. I got this badge on stage one of this puzzle.

Another tip on getting some of the ultimate badges is to not do them or attempt them in Quest mode, but to instead go to one of the special subject-based game types - for example, countries and capitals.

Pick the subject based game type that you feel really comfortable with, or which you have the most knowledge of, and complete as quickly as you can a couple of the puzzles. The knowledge you have of this specific subject area should help you complete the grid quicker and therefore get you closer to some of the ultimate badges.

A final point - the ultimate and platinum pondering badges will take a long time. My advice - set up a timeless game, get yourself one move from finishing a level and then go off and make a cup of coffee. Allow about 20 or so minutes to get the platinum one, and about 30 to get the ultimate one.

Thanks to you I've finally achieved the Ultimate Token and Combo (or something like that). Should be another 100% after the pondering is finished so cheers for a great guide!

That worked brilliantly for the pondering badges - thanks!

Now for the last few I need for the achievement (and the 100% completion)

This is the time consuming one. You need to earn every badge in the game. It is not as tough as it sounds, but it takes a while. Fire up a special game and you can win these in just over a minute easily. A full list of badges can be found at the below link.
