This is easiest in a local 2 player versus mode match.
Pick any stage, preferably one that you can easily push the ball around by walking against it (I used desert stage).
Push the ball all the way to the enemy's bell, so it is positioned right under the bell and stand next to it.
Just wait for the timer to run down. As soon as the clock is about to expire, hold
and press 
to kick the ball straight up.
If timed correctly, you will unlock the achievement. If not, just try again.
I doesn't have to be the winning point for the achievement to unlock.
