When playing online games (not quick match), you can change the settings to make the rounds go faster.
You can either change the time to 1:00, or you can change the score requirement to '1'.
I found changing the score requirement to 1 and then scoring as quickly as possible to be the quickest way to boost this.
While it doesn't matter if you win or lose, the online activity is seemingly non-existent (even with cross play).
Your best bet is to double box or find a boosting partner.
