This achievement description is a bit misleading. It has nothing to do with playing with anyone on your friends list.
It is achieved by completing a 2v2 Quick Match online.
This will require at least 4 players. Fortunately, each xbox can have a local partner.
You can double box or boost, but the change of finding an online partner (even with cross play) is very slim. Each Xbox will need two controllers.
Game uses default play settings: 3:00 timer, player with the most score wins.
It won't matter if you win or lose for this achievement.
