How to unlock the Auto Collector achievement in L.A. Noire - Definitive Guide

Super Easy to obtain. Get into every car you see at every stop you get to. You don’t have to drive them. Simply get in and start the car. If it’s a car you haven’t driven yet it’ll add it to the total and the progress will pop up with the car name and the amount you have driven so far.

Same here ^

Didn't unlock by 43, so I quit out to the main menu, resumed my game, and popped after the first new car I got into.

Strangely enough, this achievement didn't appear for me at 40 or even 45 vehicles. I did it will in free roaming. I went back and started a vice case again, and the achievement appeared as soon as I got in the car. In case anyone else has this trouble.

Please see Auto Fanatic for a list of all locations and the names of each car. Most cars are easily found while on certain cases so replaying cases will be a lot easier to do when going for the Auto Fanatic trophy.
