How to unlock the One For The File achievement in L.A. Noire - Definitive Guide

This achievement is unlocked on your first case after earning traffic detective.

When you arrive at the crime scene with the suspicious car, there are multiple clues that you can inspect. A few of the clues include opening the trunk of the car and picking up the pig receipt, picking up the lead pipe near the passenger side of the car and observing its symbol, and looking inside the car and its messy interior. Looking at either 3 of these clues will unlock the achievement.

The first place that this trophy can be achieved is during the "The Driver's Seat" case. The location of the first place is the P.E. Freight Depot. At that location in front of the car there is a yellow tag on the ground and there is a wallet and glasses. Select the glasses and turn until you get the right angle and zoom in to see Stenzel. At this point you should see on the bottom left corner of the screen New Clue: Glasses. Any clue you find at that location will grant you this trophy. The trophy should pop shortly after. You will receive this trophy naturally. For the first time, you can examine evidence as a detective in the first case of the traffic department, “ The Driver's Seat .” Nearby evidence is accompanied by a special signal and vibration of the controller. All you have to do is click to study the evidence and grab the trophy.
