How to unlock the Couch party achievement in Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris - Definitive Guide
This one is very simple. But misleading. Should say "spend $200 on 3 more controllers for your xbox one."
Update serious guide:
If you have at least 1 friend and 4 controls this is easy to get. Just run the first tomb at the start of the game. Once u get past the first small puzzle / jump with all 4 players kill off players 3 and 4 and do not press *A* to respawn.
At the end of the tomb when you are running up the stairs to the exit. Kill off player 2 at the start to make the run easier. Finish the run without a death and this should pop after the cut screen.
This will also pop (No worries, I got this!)

This achievement is why I won't buy the game.

I found another way to get this achievement. If you have a Windows 10 PC, then you should be able to stream your Xbox One via a local network. By doing this, you can then plug your old Xbox 360 Wired Controller into your PC and use it to play the game.
Bit of a complicated set up, but I had my two Xbox One Wireless controllers connected to my Xbox One, whilst having my two Xbox 360 Wired Controllers connected to my PC whilst streaming, giving me the required four players I needed.
---
UPDATE 05/06/17
There have been reports of the Xbox App only allowing one controller to be added as an input device for the game. If you find this to be the case, then the other three controllers must be connected directly to the Xbox One itself, and the last can be streamed to the console to get you the four required players. You can find a growing list of supported / not supported devices for both Xbox One and the Xbox App at the bottom of this solution.
---
UPDATE 05/01/19
If you are having issues connecting two or more Xbox 360 controllers through the Windows 10 Xbox App, then you can try first loading up a game with four-players, such as Halo: The Master Chief Collection Achievements. Sign all controllers into guest accounts, then quit and load up this game. From here you should now be able to join all controllers to this game.

As I said, a bit complicated, and may not be helpful to many because of the various hardware and software needed, but helped me and is the only way I could have got this achievement.
If you are doing this, I would recommend killing two of your characters and leaving them unspawned, making sure you have at least one character with the staff. You will need two "playing" characters in order to complete some puzzles (they are different from solo puzzles) but feel free to kill them and spawn them as and when you need.
If you manage to complete the tomb without dying, you will also earn this achievement.
Also, make sure you (as in your account) is the only one doing things, such as collecting gems and killing enemies, and only use other players when needed. Doing this should also get you these achievements if you haven't already got them.

How To Stream Xbox One to Windows 10 PC
If you have a Windows 10 PC, you should have the Xbox app installed. It can be found on the start menu by default. Open this app and it will ask you to sign in with your Microsoft account. Make sure this is the same as your Xbox account. Once done, have both your Windows Xbox App and Xbox One signed in and connected to the same Wi-fi Network. On the left-hand side of the Windows Xbox App you will find an icon second from the bottom called 'Connection'. Once here, click 'Add Device' and pair your App with your console. Once paired, you should see an option to stream.

Tomb of Sobek
We are going to use this tomb to get all of the co-op achievements out of the way, as it is the shortest tomb. If possible, play through this your first time in 4-player co-op with four controllers for Couch party. This cannot be done online, so you’ll have to buy or borrow extra controllers if you don’t have four. Since you’re already doing Couch party, make sure you do not die with your main, and kill all three of the extra controllers at least once so that you get No worries I got this at the end. At the start of the tomb, have your buddy (or do it yourself with controller 2) put up their magic shield and place/detonate a bomb at their feet for Human cannonball. Then have them bomb themselves to death and revive them with for Not on my watch.
The entrance to the Tomb of Sobek is on the right side of the entry area for the Pyramid of Osiris. He’s the large alligator boss. When the fight starts, just make sure all three extra controllers die and don’t revive them, and make sure you don’t die on your main. To defeat Sobek, use bombs to knock the time bombs into the center basket while holding so they don’t detonate, then once a bomb is in the basket, shoot the eye switch above it. Sobek will jump up and eat it, damaging him and exposing his belly. Bomb his belly with your bomb, then rinse and repeat twice more to beat him.
While doing the initial phase of the fight, before the enemies show up, use your bombs to knock three time bombs up into the basket at once, making sure to hold to slow their fuses. This takes quite a while waiting for bombs to show up, which is why you do it right away, while there are no adds to bother you. Once three are in the basket, shoot the eye above it to feed them to him and get the challenge done. After you do this the first time, grey alligator enemies will spawn. Put a bomb by one of these alligator enemies while it is standing up on a platform nearest the basket to launch it up into the basket, then shoot the eye to get Sobek to feed again and get this challenge done.
Kill a couple of his minions while doing this for Primus Inter Pares for getting the most kills in a tomb in co-op, and grab at least one gem for Oh we’re supposed to share these for getting the most gems in a tomb in co-op.
If you did this with the four controller method as advised, and ensure that the three extra controllers died while you remained alive the entire time on your main, you will unlock Couch party and No worries I got this as well. You’ll get Nothing a belly rub can’t fix for your first finish.

A cheap @play Wired 360 Controller that is sold at Gamestop for $17 also works. Windows 10 immediately knew what it was.

This requires you to finish any tomb with four local players so you will need to have four controllers and three other players. You cannot complete this by yourself if you only have the controllers.
