How to unlock the The Ploy achievement in Late Shift - Definitive Guide

This achievement and The Fool are both earnable at the same decision.

Most of the starting decisions do not seem to matter, but this is how I got this and The Fool in one run so it works. The most important thing is having the bowl with you and choosing to go to Parr's (thanks to alanp9):

-Play along with the heist
-Go to Woe's, then evade capture at the hotel by breaking the window or going downstairs twice
-Keep trusting Meiling so she tells you about the fake
-Don't fight the drunks so you can get to the hospital
-Fail in getting the location from Sebastian (e.g. go to torture him but then decide against it) so Meiling proposes a new plan of calling Parr and telling him Sebastian failed at his job
-Recover the original from the van, accept the call from Meiling in the van and then go to Parr's

When you are talking to Parr you will get the choice of 'Tossing the bowl' or 'Placing it on the desk'

Tossing the bowl = you telling Parr you brought a fake with you and will net you this achievement and one of the seven endings.

Placing the bowl = you telling Parr it's real and will net you The Fool and another ending.

If you quit and reload your game you can choose the other choice and still get progress for the endings etc.

I did this without having her with me at the hospital, so I don't think that matters. You just have to follow the steps that end with arriving at Parr's with the bowl.

Yeah, I was able to get here by going to the auction house after finding out from Sebastian, going upstairs, continuing when the guy says to wait, then go to the carpark, and Go when it says.

Thank you Frankie League! I only have the protector and this two endings left and was just wondering, if I could get this both endings when I go to the police/protect her first. Perfect, thank you!

Having just unlocked this achievement on my other account this is how i got the achievement.

-I went to the police
-Got Tortured and protected May Ling 4x. To unlock the protecter achievement.
-Don't fight the drunks.
-Talk to Sebastian at the hospital.
-Go to the hotel.
-Sneak into back of van.
-Accept call from May-Ling.
-Choose PARR'S location.

From here:

I chose "Place on the desk"
After this option Mr Parr will say "Then you don't mind me dropping it".
This will prompt another two choices "LET HIM" or "STOP HIM".
Select "LET HIM". Mr Parr will drop the bowl then catch it with his other hand, hence unlocking the achievement after a few seconds.
