When beginning each contract, you are required to conduct a "ground check", which involves picking up any miscellaneous objects/items scattered throughout the yard/lawn/park you're completing the contract for. Typically, there will be 3-7 items to pick up, depending on the location of the contract.
To pick up the items, you must find them and press A. The items will always be hidden in the grass and they're typically pretty easy to find, although they can be tricky to find sometimes in larger contracts in parks or large yards. If you are going for the full completion of this game, you will earn this organically over time.
Additionally, once you have leveled up your business, you will be able to complete Litter Contracts. For the litter contracts, you simply need to complete the ground check at the park and head back to the van to complete the contract. With the litter contracts, there are roughly 12-15 items to pick up. The litter contract ground checks DO count towards this achievement, so you can select litter contracts as they become available to earn this achievement more quickly. Items picked up during ground check for your employees' contracts do NOT count towards the achievement.

This trophy counts both the ground checks before you start the general cut/striping contracts as well as all of the litter you need to collect for the Litter Contracts, making getting 250 total far less tedious than it looks at first glance. As mentioned in In it for the long haul 
, you'll be doing a lot of Little Contracts as you go for 100 Contracts total. Each of these require you to pick up anywhere between 9-15 objects in a short period of time, meaning you'll need to only do between 20-30, possibly less if you include the non-litter Contracts. There's no in-game tracker for this, but it is tracked on the PS5's in-system trophy tracker. As soon as you've picked up your 250th item, the trophy will unlock.
