Edit: September 8th, 2022 Hello folks! I am back with updated versions of all of the Amateur Challenges. I have replaced the videos of all 8 Challenges with their updated versions that include String Trimmers.
For anyone who would like to see the original videos for the version without String Trimmers, I have left them on my Channel but they are unlisted to avoid confusion. If you would like to see them, just message me and I can send you the links to them.
Edit: September 15th, 2021 An update dropped for the game this week, and has added 3 new Challenges(1 each at Amateur, Professional and Expert level) for some Patterson mowers. These Challenges, as of now, are NOT required for getting the Challenge Achievements, so I'm not going to be adding them to my solutions. If that changes, I will, of course, upload videos of myself completing them.
Hello all. Below are individual videos detailing each Amateur Challenge. Some general tips:
Fuel Challenges always give you enough fuel to be patient. Don't be rushed by the flashing red Fuel Gauge. The String Trimmers now make the Fuel Challenges a cakewalk as well. Just use the String Trimmers as much as you want before mowing.
Mowing Challenges, especially into the Professional and Expert ones, are more a matter of managing your Engine Overloads. Learn how to manage the Engine Damage and the Challenges become much easier.
Sometimes you'll need a run or two just to get used to the mower.
Pause when you jump in to a Challenge to know the percent cut requirement to complete the Challenge.

For Fuel Challenges, keep in mind that the string trimmer has a full fuel tank. That was a game changer for me.

Amateur challenge 8 is currently bugged for me. I complete it. Tells me new mower unlocked. Notifications for the dlc. And end up having my data wiped.

There are 9 Amateur Challenges available, but I personally only needed to complete 8 for the trophy to unlock. These challenges will be relatively easy and basically act as an introduction to this section of the game. The challenges include Fuel Limits and Time Limits. For the Fuel Limits, you only have a certain amount of fuel to complete the challenge with (for the Amateur challenges, you'll be given well more than you need for these). For the Time Limits, you need to complete the challenge within the designated time limit. The challenges also include a maximum dollar limit for fines you can receive during the challenge, so be sure to avoid cutting any flowers and turning to hard into the ground so you damage it. Grass clippings are ok since they don't really fine you too much for them anyway. Depending on if the trophy glitches for you or not, this will unlock after you've completed either only 8 challenges or all 9.
