An S rank is earned by rescuing all Leedmees and collecting all five stars - when a Leedmee touches the star, it glows golden. While this may sound daunting, you can simply S rank the first stage five times. There's a few small changes, like the exit being on a head instead of a hand, but easily manageable. I've found the best way to do it is to get all the stars on the first ten Leedmees, then focus on not dropping any for the last ten.
As it stands, you do need a second person, as even the first stage requires enough moving around that a chair with a jacket won't cut it. Even then, I had issues with Kinect misreading me for a second and causing the arm to flail about. There is, therefore, a slight element of luck.
As far as advice, two i particular. First, make your movements steady. I've moved a little too fast and resulted in Leedmees flying over heads. You'll find the right speed before too long. Second, communication! Even if your partner knows what they're doing, it can't hurt to make sure. A little verbal direction will save a lot of frustration.

In order to get a S rank you must save all leedmees and get all 5 stars in a stage. If you pause and restart a stage, you'll lose all your progress. For this achievement you must get 5 S rank straight.
I did it with a friend on stage 3. On this stage you NEVER touch a leedmee, so you are safe from your kinect misreading your moves and sending some leedmee flying across the screen (especially if you have a small room). Plus all stars can be automatically obtained simply by saving the leedmees.
On this stage all you have to do is touch the red bulb with your arms and feet and also touch your friend to create an electrical connection, this will shut down the spear trap and make a safe way for the leedmees to cross. Hold your position until all leedmees cross the spears trap. Later the starting point will move closer to the trap so you have less time to adjust yourself for the new connection. Still pretty much doable.

Very easy achievement in co op if you reach stage 3!
Left player put his right foot in the blue thing so he steps on it.
Left player also hold his left arm straight to the left so he push the thing on the left.
Left player hold the right arm up to the right side so he will touch the second player.
Keep this position for the remainder of the level!
Right player do the same thing but opposite. Put his left foot in the thing and keep it there.
Right player hold his right arm out so he push the thing to the right and keep it there.
Right player hold his left arm out so he reach the left side players hand.
Keep this position for the remainder of the level!
This should give you all the stars needed and save everything for the S rank.
