How to unlock the TIL IT GOES CLICK achievement in Left 4 Dead 2 - Definitive Guide

near the end of chapter 2 in the Passing (but before you open the first gate), you'll pick up an M60. hold onto it and use pistols until you're near the end.

after you go through the first gate you'll drop down, then you'll go up another ladder, through a second gate and drop down again. after you drop down you'll be going through a narrow tunnel with swarms coming at you. wait until they're almost on top of you, then start shooting and be sure to HOLD the trigger the entire time. you have 150 bullets in the gun, so it's more than enough to chew through a swarm or two in that tunnel. as long as you're ahead of everyone else, you'll get it no problem.

this is the best place to get it, no doubt.

This is the place I got it but you should add that the M60 is not always in the same place. I've played throught the campaign 3 times so far and it's been in a different place in Chapter 2 everytime.

How do you know what the M60 looks like? Is it easy to tell apart from the normal assault rifle?

killjoy, if you look at the achievement photo you'll get a good idea

the dead giveaway is that it has 150 bullets
no other gun in the game has 150 bullets in the clip

Found it helped to throw a boomer bile into the mass @ this spot. Perfect place to get it.

Played through last night and it ran exactly how you said it would. Unfortantly I am just reading this now, but will go back and knock it out tonight. Thanks for the advice.

This week's mutation gives you a m60 with pretty much unlimited ammo!

If you have "The Passing" DLC and the "Gib Fest" mutation comes up, you get a M60 with infinite ammo... it's almost impossible not to get this.

I would suggest playing with friends, as others will kill the infected and not let you get all of them, same with AI, it makes it easier, although it is easy enough with AI or other players who don't let you have the kills.

And as the guy above me said the mutation Gib Fest makes this all that much easier.

Positive vote.

Positive vote, worked for me.

Very interesting feedback though, there may be an exploit of sort for those having trouble, I have not re-tested on another account.

I got killed by zombies while trying this (long story, I was by myself voting difficulty to Expert and killing AI, forgot to change it back...). I died while firing the M60. Once respawned in the safe room I commenced another attempt, returned to the same spot in the tunnel having never fired my M60 since dying, threw a boomer bile, commenced firing, and the achievement popped WAY before I had killed 25 infected. I had fired 10-15 rounds from the belt....

Unverified through any repeat testing, but if you have failed this multiple times try dying with the trigger held down repeatedly and report back!

Negative vote since I played through to this spot three times with no M60. Since it's random and there is a better explanation out there, I am giving a negative vote.

sorry to hear that. I guess they changed it. when the solution was posted (back when the DLC was brand new) the solution was dead on.

I'll load up the part ASAP and check if it's still where it normally was

In the case that you guys don't know, you CAN get the M60 in survival. Just go to Survival, pick The Passing, chose the second option. Exactly where you spawn, there are some Boomer Biles and an M60. Then just start the game, throw the Boomer Bile and as soon as you see the Horde Come, fire away, you can even kill all your team mates to make sure they don't kill any of the horde if you want.
Also; This achievement might be glitched, you might get it by only killing 10, or 5, or you might end up having to kill all 25. I got it by only killing 13.

Edit:Thanks to Casey Da Gr8 1 for pointing this out, there are also Explosive Rounds, you can use that to kill zombie's even faster, and make the achievement easier!

Edit: This also works on the first Survival map for the Passing.

This is a very fast and easy way to get it. I got it in 3 seconds of starting the round. Also there are explosive rounds, made it go real quick.

There are explosive rounds? I didn't see them, thanks for pointing it out, I'll be sure to add that to the guide

By far the best solution... for you do not need to re-play the level to get the gun, you just start survivor mode
+1 rating.

I got it after 5 or 6, counting the tank. It was a very small group of infected, definitely not 25.

Did it on Survival w/ explosive rounds.

Thanks for the tips.

Fired one bullet, killed a zombie, and got it...playing 'The Passing'. No lie. Achievement is definitely borked. LOL.

Tried some of the other guides, but this one is by far the easiest and fastest. This worked like a charm! Course I was trying it at the ally way and not the tunnle at first.. if you do it at the ally where you find the M60 you either get caught or it doesn't work.. but go tot the oposite side of where the M60 is and there is a "tunnle" that leads to the open street. Don't go thru the tunnle just stay on the end were you start and follow the guide's advice. Thanks!

Part luck and part glitch. Took me about five minutes and seven restarts to get it. It seems like I killed a lot less than 25, but with the explosive force of the frag rounds, who knows how many I actually killed.

Definitely the best guide for this achievement.

Achievement Hunter Video. Think it's a little easier to do in the narrow staircase.

One of the new mutations called Gib Fest gives you an M60 with unlimited ammo, which means no reloading. Also, it can be done on ANY campaign, not just The Passing. You can just run around an entire level holding the trigger down. This works best on crescendo events and finales.

This mutation will last until August 13, 2010. However, there should be a vote to choose which of the past few mutations you would like to play again. If Gib Fest is picked you will have another week to get this achievement.

Another easy way to get this is to do the Gib Fest Mutation. Unlimited ammo and it's the only gun used. Wait for a horde to appear and go crazy.

This one is pretty easy. I got this from inside one of the buildings, not in the sewer. I found the M60 in a room on an upper floor. I threw a bile bomb out the window and waited for the horde to arrive. I actually fired a couple of rounds and let go of the trigger without thinking. I then proceeded to open fire and lay waste to anything that moved until I got the cheevo to pop.

After the update and the addition of the cold stream dlc you can access all mutations at any time by cycling through them. Choose the Gib fest mutations and you wil have unlimited ammo with the M60, just wait till a part with an alarm or something to attract the horde and hold down the trigger till the achievement pops

If you are in the main menu of Left 4 Dead 2,choose the "Mutation Mode" and press Y until it says "Gib Fest".
In this mode you have unlimited M60 Ammo.
I would prefer, to play it with someone you know, otherwise the other players will eventually steal some important kills.

I've done it in the "Cold Stream"-Campaign, after you shoot at the gasoline.
The alarm goes off and many zombies are running at you - i think that's the easiest way.

If you don't have the Cold Stream DLC, I think it should work also in the first Campaign "The Parish"

It's already been posted, that you can do this in this mutation mode. Here are the links to them, if my solution is not understandable enough, or if you don't like me ;)

I got this by starting up a survival match with a friend on The Passing - Underground map.

The M60 is available straight away. We killed the other 2 AI, then went into the pool room, give it a few seconds for the zombies to filter through the room and then throw a boomer bile in the hallway. Achievement popped straight away :)

Easiest way to get this is to play a "Gib Fest" mutation. You and your whole team will get an M60 with infinite ammo. Trigger a car alarm and shoot at your heart's content.

Go to the Mutation mode, select Mutation "Gib Fest" and go on get the cheevo! Switch to M60 and as the achievement description says: kill 25 infected without letting go of the trigger. Easy!

This can be done in any game mode, though Survival is the easiest. Start a Survival match on the Port, you can do this by yourself with just the AI. Run across to the bar from the generator and pick up the M60, return back to where you started and pick up a pipe bomb. Alert the horde and throw the pipe bomb in their direction. You need to be quick, so once throw the pipe bomb change over to the M60 and kill all the Infected and the achievement should pop.

If you don't manage to kill enough in one go, but still have ammo don't let go of the trigger. Keep firing at the rest of the Infected around you until the achievement unlocks. If you don't succeed call a vote and try again.

The easiest way to get this achievement is in survival mode. Start a survival match in Porto. Go to the bar located near the generator and take the M60. Then
pick up the bomb. As soon as you call the horde, immediately throw a bomb in their direction and start shooting at this place with the M60. Don't let go under any circumstances
trigger If you fail to kill the required number of infected at once, keep killing everyone around you until you get the achievement or you have
you won't run out of ammo. If you don't succeed the first time, just restart the game.
