How to unlock the What Are You Trying to Prove? achievement in Left 4 Dead - Definitive Guide

*Still works on April 2015, on all stages!

My solution is inspired by two gamers who have a cheat for achievement " Untouchables ". It's very easy !

Works with the latest game update !

- To begin, start the campaign from chapter 1 on easy mode, and go to the last safe room.
- When the last chapter is loaded, the gamer who want the achievement must return to the main menu. More than one player can get it at the same time, as long as the host stays in the game.
- The host must call the emergency vehicle for the first time, the other players must then quickly join the game and as soon as their gamertag appears on screen, the host must call the emergency vehicle again. This step has to be done as fast as possible for it to count !
- ALL PLAYERS MUST STAY AS SPECTATORS FOR NOW.
- The host play the finale alone with AI bots, and when the second Tank is killed, the host must change the difficulty to expert.
- As soon as the vote is passed, all players must push RT to appear, go to the vehicle and Oubaaah! Achievement unlocked !!!

Excuse me for my language, i'm french, and i bet that if we get the achievement to unlock that way, i write on TA ^_^ special thanx for my friends Wicelow!

Looking for useful comments related to this solution but instead I get an ocean of "still works on blah blah blah date"...

Anyway I can't get this to work on dead air campaign. I did the other 3 campaigns first try with this method but I've done dead air 4 times now doing the exact same thing but it's not registering. Idk if anything is different for this one

Can confirm this still works as of todays date - 20/02/2023. I used the following steps: (which is the same as above, just a bit easier to read)

This Glitch can be done with 2 to 4 players

(Step 01) Start a campaign on easy. Run through until the (Start of chapter 5).

(Step 02) While in the safe room all players pause and pick (Exit To Main Menu) except the host.

(Step 03) The host (Sends invites to everyone).

(Step 04) He then tells them to accept after He pushes the evac button the (first time).

(Step 05) When (The players join) They will automatically start idle (The 3 should stay idle).

(Step 06) When all bots names say (The players names /idle) meaning everyone's in the game and idle. He pushes the evac button the (second time) starting the finale.

(Step 07) When The second tank dies the host Switches to expert and everyone has to (vote yes).

(Step 08) By the time expert is enabled from voting. The host and bots should (be by the rescue vehicle).

(Step 09) Then everyone takes control of the players (After expert is enabled screen pops up).

(Step 10) Then (Run onto the vehicle) and everyone who makes it alive will get the achievement besides the host.

(Extra) If one player dies after taking over a bot then everyone purposely go down and you will start back in the safe room on expert then start from (step 02) but after everyone leaves change it back to easy then invite them back.

(Extra) If a bot dies before the player takes him over which is very rare purposely go down and you will start in the safe room on easy then start from (step 02) but don't change the difficulty.

(Extra) The host will not get the Achievement so you will have to redo each campaign with a different host which shouldn't take long because its on easy until the very end.

Goodluck all.

I can confirm that this solution works fine on the No Mercy Campaign and Death Toll. Going to do Dead Air tomorrow. Will let you know.

1 thing we did notice though, to get it to work we had to do it in a private match and the host had to invite me in to the game. It kept losing the connection when I tried to join a friends only game.

Excellent guide though, thanks a lot. +1 from me

This is by far the best solution for this achievement. Can literally run through each mission in about 25 minutes on easy and then take ten seconds to run to getaway vehicle on expert. All I needed were Blood Harvest and Death Toll - worked for both.

SAVED US FUCKING HOURS.

You literally have no idea. We were going to use Quarantane's solution, but this was absolute PERFECTION.

I'm with Achieved and Kirk, so the same applies. I just voted positive, I'm going to plug this solution and save EVERYONE some time. After a few weeks, or at least when I can finally put this disc in the tray without shuddering, I'm going to help people out with this as well. EXCELLENT. FUCKING EXCELLENT. This still works as of 13.02.2013. I have completed No Mercy, Blood Harvest and Death Toll so far. However, on Dead Air the person who quits then comes back keeps getting kicked before the first tank on the finale. Does anyone know how to prevent this? I am doing it on Private, with only 2 humans.

By on 14 Feb 2013 16:27
you used to be able to solve the person being kicked out by forcing a dedicated server, if you can put up with the game freezing when trying to force the server. Or just get on top of the plane, its not that difficult on expert that way anyhow.

By ukinspro on 19 Feb 2013 00:37
Thank you for this solution! Without this solution, I never think I would have been able to finish Blood Harvest ever. On the other hand, I needed to run through the whole campaign twice on easy, that's because I took control of my character before the difficulty voting had been passed first, and the achievement didn't pop. So it's really important to make sure the difficulty have been passed first before taking control, orelse no achievement for expert. You can do this with 2 Xbox's.

This solution still works as of 07/19/12. I can confirm that it works on ALL the campaigns that were part of the normal game (DLC I dunno if they work). You also get a bunch of achievements for using this method (as long as you don't have them already), as well as having a MUCH easier and faster way to get the expert status for campaigns. It will unlock things like 'take no damage from infected', etc. Achievements like that. Can't believe this isn't fixed, but its still there. Thank you very much for posting this.

For those who want to use a glitch for this, the dashboard glitch has been patched.

HOWEVER there is a new glitch that will make things alot easier, and is similar to the glitch.

EDIT: This glitch still works as of March 10th, 2014. Thanks MiserlyPluto459 for telling me about that.

I would suggest at least trying this legit, although you should plan at least 3 hours+ for each mission to do it legit. My average time for doing it legit was 2-4 hours with my record times still being 1-3 hours so it will take some time, but it is rewarding to know you got one of the most difficult achievements legit. I would post my tips and a guide for doing it legit, but there are already several guides for that.

To do the glitch you must:

1) Start whichever level you need for the achievement at the start on EASY.
EDIT: You MUST be in the game lobby for this to work. I had someone join during the second chapter of No Mercy, and he did not get the achievements.

2) Rush as fast as you can until you get to the final saferoom (the start of the finale). Do NOT take the bar off the saferoom, or even open the door.
EDIT: Some people have told me that opening the saferoom door does not effect the glitch, but every time I have used it I have left the bar on the door.

3) Vote to Return to Lobby

4) Start the FINALE of the same level you ran through on EXPERT.

5) Beat the Finale, get on the rescue vehicle.
EDIT: In order to get the achievement you MUST make it onto the rescue vehicle, if someone gets in and you miss it you will have to start the entire process over again, meaning you cannot simply reselect the finale, you will have to run through the whole time.

Achievement won.

This glitch works for anything that the dashboard glitch worked on, and any achievement that requires you to play the entire campaign.

Achievements that you can win using this glitch (but you do need to go through the finale and earn these):

Do not Disturb
Stomach Upset
Akimbo Assassin
Stand Tall
Unbreakable
Safety First
Nothing Special
Zombicidal Maniac
What are You Trying to Prove

EDIT: Sorry for those who would like help from me but I can't run through these achievements anymore. But if you need any further explanation send me a message.

I encountered a horrible glitch in the process of doing this, which completely messed up the solution.
Once me and my girlfriend finally made it through to the beginning of chapter 5 of No Mercy, we voted to go back to lobby.
We then changed difficulty and chapter and loaded it back up... only to find out that we were glitched out under the map playing survival! Funny thing is that we haven't even downloaded the Survival DLC!!!
We voted back out and then tried again, and the game managed to load up the chapter properly! When we got to the escape vehicle on Expert, it didn't count as an Expert level done...

I don't know wether this is just a rare bug in loading up chapters or whether this the dedicated servers (which are always crap in this game) messing around, but it managed to ruin the build up to this achievement!!
I will try again later... damn glitchy game... Despite the good glitches you also get the bad ones. lol

I have to admit I was skeptical when I first saw this but I tried it last night with a buddy and it unlocked. Thank you for letting us in on this little jewel. This is a shame...glitchers and cheaters you are a bunch of loosers...i hate solutions like this one this is TRUEachievements by the way...its not about making things easier just for the points...its about having the skill for it...if you dont have it dont get the achievement...what the hell !!!

@Dan- For your information I've gotten this achievement legit and helped a few people get it legit for themselves, and I highly doubt that you managed to get Nothing Special legit, I'm going to assume you used some type of glitch to get that I'm also guessing you used some type of 'Jesus' spot to get through the finales and get Untouchables. I've gotten everything except for Nothing Special legit and that was the only one I needed this glitch for. If people want to use a glitch for achievements it's up to them and I'm sure people would like to know about these things. So if you have anything against using a glitch to get an achievement it's very simple, don't use one but you don't have to go off on people because they choose to.

@Quarantane Why is Untouchables supposed to be hard? Set to easy. Dead air with bots by the fence. Nothing should get close to touching you, even the tank. If people want to glitch, then why not hack, why not mod your console? That's a slippery slope.
0
0
By GhostSeraph on 16 Jan 2011 23:51
@GhostSeraph- I wasn't trying to give them impression that untouchables was hard, in fact I've gotten that legit myself, and helped three of my friends (on different occasions) get it legit so that particular achievement is actually fairly easy with a good 4 person team.

Using a glitch is MUCH more forgivable than hacking and modding, using a glitch is still following the terms of service within the xbox guidelines whereas hacking and modding is forcing yourself to get an achievement by breaking safewalls and basically giving yourself something that you don't deserve just because you have the knoweldge to get through the safeguards specifically made to prevent this.

Using this glitch makes a difficult achievement easy, and it is something that is accessible to every person who plays this game whereas hacking and modding is a single person breaking through the defenses that xbox and or the developers speciffically put there trying to keep their achievements clean.

Long story short- using a glitch is taking advantage of a shortsight, or mistake of the developers whereas hacking and modding is going out of your way to bypass all of the work that developers have put into keeping things clean, and that's my personal belief as to why using a glitch is allright, I in know way agree with anybody hacking or modding.

Developers need to take the time to clear out bugs then. If something is In a game and It benefits the player, they're going to use it. It's not my fault Valve doesn't care enough to fix it. What if someone accidentally finds a bug? It's on the devs to fix their glitchy games. Not all of us are goody goodies.

Personally, I find it fun getting achievements no matter how I get them, glitched or not. Other people play games JUST for the fun of playing a game. Either way, we're both having fun playing the game. I won't deny that getting this achievement legitimately takes a lot of time and skill, and anyone who can do that is a much better L4D player than me. But I won't feel guilty doing something I think is fun; I'm doing no harm to anyone. You can tell people not to use the glitch, but they will still do what they want... If they patch the glitch beforeI get around to using it then I guess I'll have to find a way to do it legitimately.

Tossing something onto the argument...if you can clear the last level and get on the rescue vehicle, you can most likely clear the levels before it. This glitch is more of a time saver than anything, since you still HAVE to beat the last level on Expert. Just sayin'.

@Ghost-Seraph- If this is a bug in the game Valve has had over a year and a half to fix it, if the developers themselves don't care enough to fix a known glitch that has been used for that period of time, then why should users feel bad about accessing it.

Valve obviously doesn't care about their players using this glitch, so why should what you say be more influential than the message sent by the developers not caring, or simply ignoring this glitch.

As I said modding/hacking is breaking the safeguards set up by developers proving that the developers do not want their players to use that as they believe it is an "unfair advantage" however using a glitch that has been known for this long is obviously no big deal to the developers.

I will be testing this glitch on Saturday and will let you know if it is still working. I will be trying for Death Toll, Dead Air, and Blood Harvest if anyone wants to jump in.

Nothing Special was actually quite simple on the Crash Course Campaign. I got a lot that I needed from that. I did it with 3 bots. We ran through taking the short cut over the fence and made it to the end. Only seen 1 Boomer along the way but heard numerous others. Stayed on the light set in the corner during the cresendo until a tank came. Lit him up with a moltov and go on top of the bus. Bots followed me, I guess it was just my time!

I'm going to make use of this glitch this Saturday (12/31). I've already beaten Dead Air, Death Toll and No Mercy on expert so I'm going to try this on Blood Harvest. If anyone wants to jump in I have a game session created for Saturday. Also, I'm not just in this for me and what I need on Blood Harvest. I'll definitely help anyone else finish Dead Air, Death Toll or No Mercy during the game session as well.

Just to inform everyone in case you were wondering, I was in a session earlier today and some people got to the rescue vehicle and some didn't. Unfortunately, at this point you have to play the entire campaign over again, you can't just start at the finale, or it won't count. One of the people in the session found this out the hard way.

I tried to do this guide to earn "Zombicidal Maniac" alone with bots (i selected "play with friends" and opended up a private lobby) on Dead Air. But i didn't get the achievement.
But i have to mention, i failed the finale several times. I always got downed when i wanted to enter the plane. >.<

So: Do i have to beat the finale on the first attempt, even if i am playing all alone? Anyone can confirm?

@Doc Chopper- You should be able to get it no matter how many times you fail, provided that you personally make it into the rescue vehicle, it could have been for some other reason that you didn't get it.

You must not: exploit a bug, or make an unauthorized modification, to any software or data to gain unfair advantage in a game, contest, or promotion. By using a glitch, you are exploiting a bug to unfairly gain achievements in a game of choice. If you are glitching for fun and you have nothing to show for it after, then you are operating within the TOS. Your personal belief is irrelevant.

There are not degrees of whether something is allowable or not. There are only degrees of how far you've stepped over the line. Stealing is an available option to everyone. That does not mean that stealing is "fair". You can't say that stealing candy is okay but stealing cars isn't. Stealing is not legitimate at any degree. Neither is cheating.

Since the finales are the hardest I will cover those. But first some basic tips for expert:

a.) Watch Your Fire, Francis!: If you find yourself friendly firing constantly or even on occasin, simply take a deep breath and take your finger off of the trigger. Find other ways to dispatch zombies when your friends are in your field of view. Meleeing when a zombie is close to some one is always advantageous to shooting.

b.) Peelz! Always stock up on any health that you can find. A good strategy at the end of any level is to kill anyone still standing that has below fifty percent health, as they will come back with fifty. If you kill them in the safe room you will be able to keep molotovs/pipebombs, etc.

c.) I hear a hunter!: Keep full captions on, they alert you to any incoming special infected as well as incoming hoards.

Now onto those finales:

1. No Mercy: Using the "Jesus Room" is your best bet, from here (once the last tank dies) rush to the helicopter pad and shoot anything that moves until you can board.

2. Death Toll: Using the "Jesus Rock" is another (almost) guaranteed bet. You will have to get lucky with the tanks, or you can pump them full of lead and hope for the best. One thing about this strategy is to conserve ammo since the next nearest stash will pretty much always get you killed. Have one person watch from the rock into the water, which is where most smokers come from. When the boat arrives, hightail it to the dock and wait for the boat to fully pull into harbor.

3. Dead Air: By far the hardest finale (but I did it with 2 bots and an unknown). Holding out by the closet is a good strategy, as it offers great lines of sight and good room for kiting the tank when he comes. A good place to kite the tank is on the crashed airplane infront of you. Have one or a couple of people have the tank chase them as the others shoot. One downside to this place is the trek back to the airplane after the last tank, but if you run as soon as the tank dies and everyone is in decent condition you'll make it no problem.

4. Blood Harvest: A great camp spot is in the barn. It has ammo and sometimes other goodies. But before the group heads over make sure to scavange the house for anything(normally there isn't anything). Once in the barn go to the second story and go in the back right corner as you get off the ladder. By having two people cover the whole in the wall and the other two covering the rafters and the ladder you will cut through anything that comes at you. Just call out and get ammo whenever you run low. For tanks have your crew hang tight and have ONE person run onto the left rafter. This person needs to kill any remaining special infected and can be equipped with any weapon type. By having one person do this it glitches the tank and he will run in tiny circles on the first floor. The person on the rafter can unload and kill both tanks with ease. When the vehicle comes just jump through the whole to your right and walk right up the ramp.

Hope this helps anyone.

Doing Blood Harvest solo is a pain, but using what Doctor said it is manageable. Go into the barn and sit by the hole in the barn. eventually an A.I. will come take over and you watch the ladder and rafters. They are usually good about taking care of the common infected. You must watch the ladder a little closer because all the special infected will climb it, except a hunter on occasion will come through the hole. When the tank comes I found it best to stay put and look for him. You can usually shoot him from a distance, however, as soon as he climbs the ladder or is going to come through the hole in the wall RUN! Once he is dead usually you arn't too far from the barn and can get back in position before the next wave. Once the rescue vehicle comes stay up top until the common start getting up there, by that time the rescue vehicle should be there. just jump through the door and walk right on in. I recommend you use the auto shotgun for this finale.

I think Dead Air's finale is pretty easy if you stand on the far side of the plane (the one you eventually get on). Find the rope(?) barrier thing stretching across most of that side of the level, then find the pile of junk to the right of that (when your back is to the plane). That pile of junk is your camp point. Have one person keep an eye out to the right side where that fence is, since zombies occasionally spawn from there.

The nice thing is that no specials spawn over here, so you'll hardly ever get hit except by the occasional zombie. My roommate and I easily got Untouchables here, with 2 bots, in only a few tries. When the Tank shows up, running towards the plane will often cause him to move in on the other side of it, unable to hit you, so fire at him underneath the plane. He isn't really "stuck" there so he will eventually figure it out, but there's plenty of space to kite him over there.

And of course, you're right where you need to be when the plane is fueled up. For me this is even easier than Death Toll, making it the easiest finale.

As vivid voice said you can get on top of the plane on Dead Air. Doing this takes some set up time but is pretty much a guaranteed victory (although smokers may see you as in Death Toll.

As for Blood Harvest there is a way to despawn the tanks, although it requires some luck and is not full proof. Wait in the Laundry Room with two people crouching in front of the washer and dryer with the other two standing on top of them. As SOON as you hear the tank spawn you all four need to run out the window and to the left so you are on the far left side of the roof. If done correctly the tank wont be able to find you and will despawn before he becomes a threat. If you do see the tank however that means it didn't work.

2Rue Alien has a video of it on here

As I said it isn't always full proof but it is the method I used to beat Blood Harvest on Expert.

PLEASE COULD YOU TELL ME IF IT IS NECESSARY FOR YOU TO ACTUALLY GET INTO THE VEHICLE FOR THE 'WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO PROVE' OR DOES IT STILL COUNT FOR YOU ASLONG AS AT LEAST ONE PERSON GETS INTO THE VEHICLE (IN WHICH CASE DOES EVERYBODY GET IT?)

It IS necessary for you to enter the vehicle at the end. Initially pre-patch it was possible to get credit if one of your teammates entered it at the end, but post-patch YOU must be in the vehicle as it rides into the sunset. It sucks, but if your in a good squad you can arrange how to finish the level. (preferably all of you get on so you all get credit, and one person doesn't take off without the rest of you)

on DEAD AIR, use the "Jesus Plane" -using a exploding propain tank, crouch and smash the luggage cart between the front of the plane and the truck cloest to the front of the plane, then jump from the truck to the top on the plane and look out for rocks from tanks and smokers, when the bottom lowers, drop down and walk in. its as easy as that..
side note: call the plane people once, to stop the special infected from spawning, then put the luggage carts into place.

I have beaten death toll, dead air, and no mercy. I just need blood harvest. If anyone is interested please please please find me on xbox live or send a message. My friends are getting tired of trying blood harvest. I can get to the finale, around the second tank, but just can't cash in. I just need to survive that campaign and rack up 9,000 more kills for genocidest.

I don't know if you have heard or not but there is a "Jesus" spot on Blood Harvest that has been discovered, it is behind a tree in the back.

As with waiting in the hero closet of Dead Air it is a bit of a walk to the rescue vehicle, but I just did it with someone I didn't even know who asked for my help.

As i'm sure we all know this is not an easy achievement to gain. I got the 54,595 achievement well before this so you can see just how many tries it took.

This solution refers to single player:

*The AI players, although not willing to follow you at times or even refusing to pick up first-aid kits have an suprisingly accurate ability to pick off special infected.*

*On single player, you have the benefit of spam melee. If you are overwhelmed by the infected's sheer numbers back into a corner and melee. Also, should one of your team-mates get vomited on duck next to them and melee. If your team-mates go down, then so will you.*

*Turn full captions on, the number of times it comes up with 'tank growls' when I haven't noticed are countless.*

No Mercy Finale:
One of the best tactics is to stand in the doorway of the closet, you can see out the front windows and can easily melee away infected from your team-mates. The hard part is when the Tank comes, be extra aware of the Boomer just before the tank. If he vomits on you as the Tank is approaching, you're as good as dead on expert. You can try to stand near the windows to lure the tank in, occasionally he will get stuck giving you time to use a shotgun at close range. When the helicopter comes make sure that you have a pipebomb (keep one throughout the finale), there's nothing worse than being incapped just as your boarding the helicopter.

Death Toll Finale:
The 'Jesus Rock' still works from what I hear, just watch out for smokers in the water. However, if you dont use the 'Jesus Rock' then I recommend either the stairs or the ground floor. If you use the stairs then constantly move between the top and bottom as the Infected will swarm all over you. Watch the bottom left window in particular, a Boomer creeping through decimate your chances. If you use the ground floor then keep alternating your view between the front and back doors, helping where necessary. One thing I noticed in the Death Toll Finale is the great abundance of molotovs and pipebombs, use them! As you see the horde coming chuck a pibebomb then grab another, sometimes its easy to forget about the explosives in the heat of battle. As for the tank, same as No Mercy if. If your luck he will get stuck in the window, if not then its a run and shoot job. As soon as the second tanks dead get to the pier, throw a molotov at the pier's entrance or a pipebomb but make sure you dont throw either until you see the horde.

Dead Air Finale:
I completed this by standing in front of the yellow tape behind the plane, its a wide open area so the horde will tend to run at you in straight lines making life a lot easier. You can easily spot the boomer, you'll also see the hunter coming a mile off but watch out for the smoker. Especially from the area behind the plane you board. As for the tank, its such a wide area you can just run and shoot but watch out for the luggage carriers. Remember, just like a car these are an instant incap if they hit you. If your lucky, sometimes you can run up to the plane and the tank will try to go under it, allowing you to blast away from underneath. Once the second tank dies, wait till you see the horde then chuck a pipebomb and thats Dead Air done.

Blood Harvest Finale:
In the FarmHouse the stairs are a good bet, once again watch one direction and hope the AI cover your back. Remember, to alternate though especially if one side is becoming overwhelmed and keep using pipebombs/molotovs to your advantage as its easy to forget. When the tank comes it is ESSENTIAL you get out of the house ASAP, countless times on both offline and online I have seen people stay in the house and get completely slaughtered. A wide open area will give you space to outrun the tank and do some serious damage. After the second tank dies, run out towards the barn as this is where the ACP arrives and chuck a pipebomb but watch out for special infected. One time I had a tank throw a rock at me on the ramp of the ACP, I was not happy. ¬_¬

Hope this helps and best of luck!

I agree with 3 of the 4 places mentioned by doctor, but dead air is VERY easy with the right spot. if you pick up and throw a propane tank into the baggage cart as you're running into it, you can move it to either the nose of the plane or up the hill to the right wing of the plane. then, just stay in the center of the plane and melee each other to avoid being caught by a smoker. all the guys go away eventually. then, toss the pipe bomb, drop off the back of the plane and hop in.

update - there are some other ways to on top too. this video shows 3 ways

I did this with two other people using the glitch where you start on easy and only play finale on expert. Note:This method needs to be done with more than one person

2:41 into the video(thanks to GamertagTOWELLIE for video) the camera is facing the the bails of hay.

This method needs to be done with more than one person. If u look there is a rod that runs above the hay bails. Use the bails to jump up onto the rod (may require crouch jump). Once on the rod move along to the right so that there isn't anything the tank can stand on to hit you.One person needs to start up and quickly get on the rod.

Have one person with shotgun for tanks and other with assault rifle or sniper. The person with the shotgun needs to use their pistols to kill common infected and other to watch for smoker (when we did smoker didn't spawn, not sure if always happens).

When the tank comes make sure you aren't standing to close to each other as on rare occasions the tank can get you(this is why you need others). If he does the other person needs to come over and heal you. Note: don't use med kit until on black and white screen or have been down twice already. Continue to unload into the tank until he dies.

Continue with same method as before for next wave of common infected and tank. After the second tank dies jump down in the direction of the escape truck and run to it while watching out for special infected.

We found this the easiest way getting it first go after failing with all other spots.

Expert is very easy if you can simply change the way you play. You cannot possibly enter an Expert game with the mentality of another difficulty.

Friendly fire - Don't even bother shooting if there's more than a 50% chance of hurting a fellow survivor in the process. It causes major annoying damage and can really hurt.

Zombies - The Common Infected do 20 damage on a front hit and 10 damage for a back hit. The best thing? They have to actually come right up to you to do said damage. Try headshotting with the shotgun, or using one of the rifles but always aim for the heads.

Play with full captions on. You will get many notifications as to incoming attacks and Special Infected spawns, but do note that you should listen for the music cues anyway. If you like to play with music off, at least turn it on a little bit. It really does help.

On Campaign mode, you can actually hear tanks BEFORE you trigger them. On Versus, they just spawn and boom, but no: on Campaign mode, you can hear a tank and it's only after walking past a door or something they are activated. This gives you time to prepare, and it's even possible to see part of a tank before it gets activated.

MOST IMPORTANT TANK RULE:
Setting a Tank on fire makes it FASTER on Campaign and activates a Fire Timer (something like 40 seconds on Expert mode?) before it dies. Any shooting you do when it's on fire is actually a waste of ammo (although sometimes, especially with a rifle or mounted gun, it slows it down a bit). Just try running to the saferoom if you've used your molotov or gas can. There's no need to shoot.

I believe this is the same for Witches, so do not bother shooting witches on fire either unless you like wasting ammo. I doubt it slows her down.

And Tanks and Witches can both enter the beginning saferoom, Tanks sometimes struggle and certain positions help prevent it but it is sometimes possible for both to enter (with a Tank, however, it's slightly more unlikely).

My final tip is to play with the controller sensitivity all the way up, both vertically and horizontally, in the pause or main menu. Takes a long long time to get used to, but you will find you can aim much faster and you have freedom of movement. And be aware! Always look behind you and in front of you - you almost need eyes in both directions at once.

If you're only aiming for this one, do a campaign you know the most thoroughly. Their difficulty is about the same.

There is actually a glitch to beat every finale without so much as killing a single Infected. On No Mercy you can let zombies break down a door and then go into a room where the AI can't see you, on Dead Air you can jump on top of the plane by moving one or two carts with propane tanks, on Blood Harvest you can actually just stand and melee a tree and everything will immediately die before it reaches you (!) and on Death Toll there's a rock you can sit on. Crash Course, as far as I know, has no finale glitches, however Crash Course on Expert doesn't count towards it anyway. But I'm not going into how they work and not saying you have to use them. It has little relevance, just find them out through Google or YouTube.

Don't forget you MUST SURVIVE the finale and ENTER THE RESCUE VEHICLES! It's for surviving four campaigns, not only for completing them.

Hope this helps.

If you want to get this achievement the easy way, there is a campaign glitch. This works for the expert achievements and other ones like "Stomach Upset". I want to also add that you play with a full lobby of players that are good and cooperative. I also recommend you turn FULL CAPTION on. Follow these steps to do the glitch:

*Play through any campaign from first chapter-finale chapter.

*When the finale chapter starts and NO-ONE has left the saferoom or opened it, call a vote to return to lobby.

*When back to lobby, have the host go to "EDIT SETTINGS" and change the difficulty to expert and the chapter be the finale chapter of that campaign.

*After editing, start the campaign again.

Now just play through the finale chapter carefully and follow these tips for success:

*No Mercy: When at the at the rooftop finale and are at the radio, stock up on ammo, health, PIPE BOMBS, and gasoline/propane tanks. Close to the heli-pad there is a high building that can be jumped on and had a ladder. Also, it gas a satellite on top of it. Have gasoline/propane tanks setup around, and have everyone gather on top of the building. Once ready, have somebody answer the radio twice and get back to the top of the building. Have two players watch the ladder side and two watch the left side of the ladder or building. When zombies come, don't waste too much shots and shoot the gasoline/propane tanks when there is a lot of zombies. Watch out for smokers!!! After two minutes, there should be a door open below the players watching the left side, which has stairs below them. This is the JESUS ROOM. If open, have everyone enter the far-end of the room with lights off. Just wait there without attracting attention. Tanks will spawn, but will die. This will happen twice. Then after long waiting, the helicopter arrives. Have the PIPE BOMBS be ready to throw once leaving the room. Leave the room together and throw the pipe bombs the opposite direction of the pad. Then RUN RUN RUN!!!! Once everyone that is not incapped is in the chopper, the chapter ends!!!

*Death Toll: Once at the boat finale and are at the radio, do the same steps that was mentioned in NO MERCY. I recommend players have a sniper or assault rifle. Once stocked and prepared, there is A JESUS ROCK to the far left side of the house. To find it, just look at the front of the house, go to the far right of the beach shore and there should be a big rock on the side of the map. Might take a while, but have everyone attempt to jump onto the rock until everyone is on it. Then, have one of the players answer the radio for rescue, then have him/her rush back onto the rock. Have one player watch the back of the rock where the dock is, and everyone else watch the front of the rock. Make sure to conserve ammo. Just fend of the zombies until a tank arrives. Have everyone focus on killing the tank and the tank should die easily. Keep on doing this until the boat arrives. Have PIPE BOMBS ready and run off the rock to the boat. Thow the PIPE BOMBS to the woods and RUN RUN RUN!!! Once on the boat the chapter ends!!

*Dead Air: This is probably the toughest campaign. I don't know any glitches on the plane finale. Just stock up and prepare yourselves for the horde. I recommend having everone gather to the far back corner to the back of the pick-up plane. Once ready, have someone answer the radio and fuel up the plane. After that, have him/her rush back. Just have two players watch the right and left sides. Watch out for special infected!! There will be a lot of zombies so I recommend that if you found PIPE BOMBS, throw one far away from yourselves. When the tank comes, gather close but not too close to the right side of the plane. The tank might get stuck on the other side of the plane, being vulnerable to shots below the plane. After that just defend yourselves until the plane opens. Throw a PIPE BOMB to the nose of the plane and have everyone rush into the plane. The chapter ends when everyone is in!!

*Blood Harvest: For the finale, the tough part really is just getting to the barn. Make sure to have everyone stick together and watch each other's backs. Once at the barn and the radio, stock up. Once everyone is ready, have everyone gather to the little woods behind the two big water buildings. Find a white tree that has a space between two big branches located near rocks and is almost lined up between the touching spots of the water buildings. Once located, have everyone jump between the branches and keep on meleeing. Once ready, have a person run back to the house and call for rescue. Then have him/her rush back and get into the tree. This is the JESUS TREE!! Shut off lights, don't attract too much attention, and if necessary shoot zombies that stand around the tree. Sometimes when everyone is meleeing, the game will make players go idle, which you do not want. Make sure everyone is moving the cam side to side and still meleeing. When tank(s) spawns, DO NOT SHOOT OR DO ANYTHING THAT WILL ATTRACT A LOT OF ATTENTION!! The tank(s) will die by itself. Once the rescue vehicle arrives, throw PIPE BOMBS(if found) into the field and run into the vehicle. Kill any zombies in the way and dodge the tank if close by. Once everyone is in the vehicle, the chapter is done!!!

I hope this helps a lot and gets positive votes!!!

I have a solution for blood harvest, although if you're looking for cheats or glitches, you're in the wrong place. I used the dashboard glitch to do this, but I was hosting so I didn't get it. Get to the finale, and try to make it to the barn. As long as one person makes it in, you can revive the others. Once there and having cleared the remaining horde, search the grounds for and possibly useful items, pipe bombs and molotovs are extremely rare but if you do get them make sure you don't waste it. Set traps like propane tanks and gas tanks around the barn to clear most of the first wave. Go up into the barn, and have two people guarding the big hole in the wall, one person with a carbine the other with a shotgun, and have two more guarding the ladder area where boomers and hunters tend to come up. These two should have a carbine and shotgun as well. Fending off the horde using this method is the easy part, but when tanks come it gets a bit tricky. Have all four members walk onto the rafters a little to the right of you, and pump the tank with lead while doing so. He should go down pretty easily because he can't reach you, but he can throw rocks at you and down you in one hit. He should come down pretty fast. Rinse and repeat, using common sense for when to re-load and heal up, as I cannot advise you when seeing as your health levels will vary. Before long, the rescue vehicle will arrive (there is no better sound than hearing it chug along), at this point you should have maybe one team member down, or maybe you did well and had all four, again it varies. All it takes is two people to make it, since one will probably be smokered or pounced on. Bam, blood harvest is done. I know I make it seem easy, but you have to be calm, think clearly and don't panic. Make sure you have three other team-mates, although one AI will work, and is preferred over a teammate lacking skill. Good luck to you!

Heres a simple way start a campaign on easy run through til the finale while in the safe room players that want the achievement / progression point leave to the main menu. The host must stay in then send invites to everyone to come back and leave the safe room when the players join they will automatically start idle (this will not happen if they are still in the same room) they have to stay idle until the end. When the rescue vehicle arrives switch to expert and have everyone take control of the players. then just run onto the vehicle and everyone who left and came back will get the achievement / progression point simple. If the horde over runs one of you just all die and you will start back in the safe house have everyone leave again switch to easy and invite back. Remember to return the favor for the host. It also pops off a bunch of them if you don't already have them akimbo assassin stand tall nothing special stomach upset there are a few more but i cant remember what they are.
This worked for me yesterday on 19/7/12 happy hunting

(IDLE GLITCH)
This glitch works as of Wednesday, March 12th, 2015.

This Glitch can be done with 2 to 4 players

(Step 01) Start a campaign on easy. Run through til the (Start of chapter 5).

(Extra) The host will not get the Achievement so you will have to redo each campaign with a different host which shouldn't take long because its on easy til the very end.

(Possible Achievements Unlocked Using Idle Glitch)

*Do not Disturb*
*Stomach Upset*
*Akimbo Assassin*
*Stand Tall*
*Unbreakable*
*Safety First*
**Zombicidal Maniac**
***Nothing Special***
***What are You Trying to Prove***

****Untouchables****

If no one is hit after the players take control of the bots everyone but the host should get the (Untouchables) Achievement.

Special Thanks to SteveDGamer, MiserlyPluto459, Quarantane
and to the anonymous players that figured this out first years ago

This is the fastest, easiest, least skill involved way you will ever get these achievements

Using this glitch works good to make easy of the first 4 parts of the level.
Start on easy and play to the end. When in the final safe room call a vote to lobby and then host switchs it to the finale and to expert and it counts the campaign for expert.
This make them all easier. Warning though not sure if this counts for host as when im doing this i already have the achievements legit just sharing this so not sure if it counts for host but you can easily do it twice in the time it would take you to do one campiagn on expert legit.

Ok now for the tips for each finale, these are written and i will not provide videos for these but you should be able to find some on youtube but if you cant find any send me a message on ta or xbox and i will try and explain them better

Just a tip for all of the following solutions whoever leaves the safe haven first will usually be the one who gets attacked by all 3 special infected usually.

New Mercy = to get to the rescue is easy and for the actual surviving it is best to use the jesus room glitch. when you get to the rooftop the room to your right, get on top of the roof and and look over the edge to see a door, and you need a zombie to break the door down, once it has just hide at the back of the room with lights off and then your fine, youll just need to run to the helicopter.

Death Toll - this one is opposite the house where you call for the rescue. its an open building with 4 pic-nic benchs under it. what you need to do is get a gas tank or gasoline tank and walk up to a bench. push the y button to drop it while walking into the bench and you will push the bench. Once you are pushing it you will need to push up the little hill and then towards the house with rescue phone and line up the bench with the edge of the roof of the building. once its aligned run down the edge of the bench and jump onto the roof of the building. then got onto of the chimney, and the only thing you need to watch for is smokers. just watch for whoever drop down first will get smoked/pounced.

Dead Air - this one is hard to explain. ok for this you need to use the same tactic for moving. find a gas tank, now what you need to find the luggage carrier box type thing. and move them to the front of the plane. you need 2 set up between the lorry and the plane. you set up to make a jumping bridge from the truck to the nose of the plane. there is a video on youtube for it but i dont know what to search for. once onto of the plane just stand in the centre of the wings and continuasly mealy(LT) eachother as smokers are a bother. while moving the luggage it is hard but you can do it with teamwork as some of the carts can only be moved form one side originally so you start moving it and a teamate moves it further in the correct direction. i do apologise as this one is hard to explain

Blood Harvest - this is by far the hardest of all. even getting to the rescue point is hard. im not sure if this has a video either and im not sure whats its called either. ok when running across the corn field you will see a red silo, opposite this silo there are 2 trees which are connected but have a gap between them. what you need to do is face towards where you can first see the rescue vehicle and hold LT down and with flashlights off. this will trick the enemys and you should be fine but it does not always work so have patients it is really hard to do this one. once you have survived untill the rescue has arrivied you will need to run to it, this is hard but you did skip the 2 tanks and 2 waves of zombies. the run is hard as hell but molotovs and pipebombs make it a hell of a lot easier, also if there is a boomer someone should delibratly get puked on to attract the horde and make it easier for the rest.

Just remember if you only get the campaign done for one person it is stil a success as you can easily do this glitch 4 times for each person before you get the campiagn done legit.

Please ask questions before down voting the solution.

This isn't how I got this, but while helping my friend I discovered a new way to make this easier. It's also helpful for Stomach Upset, Nothing Special, Akimbo Assassin, Do Not Disturb, Unbreakable, Safety First, and Zombicidal Maniac.
You can play the first 4 chapters on EASY. Then call a vote to return to lobby, and start the campaign on the finale, be sure to change the difficulty to EXPERT.
Now, the finale can still be a challenge in itself, so here are the best places to hold out, and "Jesus areas"
No Mercy- This can be done in the closet next to the weapon rack.
No Mercy Jesus Room-

Death Toll- You can hideout either in the top of the house, jumping out when the tank comes, (MAKE SURE YOU'RE OUT OF THE HOUSE DURING THE TANKS.) Or the dock, if you watch for smokers.
Death Toll Jesus Rock-

Dead Air- From the weapon table, go behind the plane, to the little open area. Have people cover each side, the specials will spawn to the left of the plane, near the weapon table. Kill them before they smoke you/ pounce you. For the tank, stay on the opposite side of the plane as it, it can be glitched to be stuck opposite you.
Dead Air- Out of Map "Jesus"
I could not find a video for this. This is a very unknown glitch, my friend showed me it awhile ago. So, when you drop down from the first ledge, go to the right, to the broken air plane wing. The wing has a VERY SMALL split in it. Make your team go to the gas truck, and you go idle. You will teleport outside of the map. If you don't get it on your first try, just keep moving a little bit near the split, and you'll get it. The downside to this glitch is that it's hard for the person who starts it to get out in time. So have someone who has this already start it, or who ever's the best at the glitch.

Blood Harvest- Upstairs in the big barn is the BEST place here. Inside the house I could never finish, the barn is fairly easy, much easier than in the house. Plus, when the truck arrives you can hop out of the opening and you land next to the truck, watch for smokers though, they like to snag survivors at the very last second.
Blood Harvest Jesus Ledge-
I also couldn't find a video for this one. This one's difficult.
Go to the area where the truck drives off after you complete it, jump on the hay bales and into the tree branch. You will be standing on the branch, but it's very difficult to line up and takes a LOT of practice. After you get there, walk slowly towards the ledge, the cliffside. You need to jump at the LAST second, and you should land on the ledge. Go all the way across until you can't anymore, and crouch there. Don't step forward, or a smoker can, and most likely will pull you down.

Get a good team of survivors up with 3 other players and try to go through each campaign. Don’t worry if you die, just as long as one person gets into the last safe room of each chapter, you're good to go. Staying together is the best advice I can give.

This does not have to be done in one sitting. Although, each individual campaign must be done in one sitting.

There is one way in the game by which you can not go through the first chapters on expert difficulty, but go through them on easy, after that in the game menu, you need to select the final chapter, put it on the expert level and go through.
The achievement will open without any problems.

Here's what to do:

In a single-player game, we select a campaign and set it to the easy difficulty level, then we go through the first chapters, right up to the final one, then in the final chapter, at the very beginning we don’t open the door from the shelter and don’t go anywhere!

Click on start and exit to the main menu of the game, as soon as you exit the game, install this final chapter again, but at the expert level and go through it.
That's all!

But the freebie doesn't end there!

In each final chapter, there are places where you can sit quietly, and there are also different tactics with which you can easily complete all the final chapters in each campaign.

Campaign – “No Mercy”

In the final chapter, there are two places where you can sit out without any shooting.

The first such place is on the roof, not far from the house with the walkie-talkie.

If you run into this house and turn to the right, then go out the window, there will be a descent to the lower level, jump down, then there will be another descent and there will be two ventilation units, if you jump to the right closer to the wall, then you will stand in the corner , between the ventilation unit and the wall.

Being there, the enemies will simply not be able to find you, including the tank.

But one particularly infected person, namely the Smoker, will still be able to get you out of there.

So, sitting there in the corner, listen carefully to the sounds, as soon as you hear the smoker coughing, be prepared that he will come out from somewhere and try to grab you with his tongue, you will need to have time to knock off his tongue, hit the LT button with the butt and shoot at him with a shotgun.

It is the shotgun that you will need to take with you in order to quickly kill all the smokers who find you with one shot.

Also, don’t forget to take a grenade, it will come in handy when you run to the helicopter.

The most difficult thing is when a rescue helicopter arrives and you need to quickly run to it, so that none of the specially infected people grab you.

It is best to run along the same lower level on which you were holed up.

Come out from around the corner where you were sitting and turn right, run to the stairs and go up it, then immediately turn left and run further, after you turn into the passage and go forward, there will be another staircase, straight to the helicopter platform.

You go up the stairs and wait for the helicopter to fly up.
While the helicopter is approaching, throw a grenade to distract the enemies.

As soon as the helicopter flies up, run into it, just be careful not to fall out of the helicopter on the other side, as doors will open on both sides.

You can do it alone, without the help of bots (since the character, under computer control, simply stupidly cannot stand in the corner), he will always stand on the ventilation unit and attract the attention of enemies.

So, if you are playing alone, then before answering the radio and calling a rescue helicopter, first kill your bots, just shoot them once, no need to finish them off, they will serve as bait, when you answer the radio, you will have time to take your seat.

Meanwhile, the enemies will finish off the lying bots. Once they finish off your bots, they will lose track of you.

But the easiest way is to do it with a friend. Sit in the corner and press the butt strike button all the time - LT .

This will help in case one of you is grabbed by a smoker; with a blow from the butt you can immediately free your friend from the smoker’s tongue.

Alternatively, you can try doing it alone with two joysticks. Only in this case, you will have to press the LT button alone on both joysticks.

And after the helicopter arrives, you simply turn off the second joystick and the computer will take control of this character.

At least he will cover you while you run to the helicopter, and if something goes wrong, you can sacrifice him and temporarily distract the attention of enemies from yourself in order to reach the helicopter in time.

Let's watch the video where you need to sit out:
1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n716VKkUIjc
2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUFbl--Ek6s

There is another location, but it will require a second player or a second joystick.

You can sit out in the hospital elevator shaft, where you need to climb the stairs to the roof of a skyscraper.

At the very beginning, after you have left the shelter, climbed the stairs and walked along the corridor to the end, turning left you will see open doors to the elevator shaft, and on the side behind the bars there is a small passage through which you can get to the landing with stairs, along who need to climb up the roofs.

So, in this mine there is a small ledge along the entire wall, you can sit on it, and all the enemies trying to reach you will fall into the mine, including the tank.

We approach the open doors to the elevator shaft, press against the wall on the left side and look down, you will see a small ledge (you will sit on it), walk along it and stand in the middle, do not come too close to the landing, otherwise the enemies will be able to get it.

But before you sit there, you all need to go up to the roof and have one of the players answer on the radio.

Anyone who answers on the radio will have to sit out in another place, since he will no longer get on the roof.

And if you have a second joystick and play alone, then everything is much simpler.

First, everyone go up to the roof, take the second joystick and run to answer on the radio, first answer the first response, and do not answer the second for now.

Take the first joystick and go back down the shaft and sit on this ledge.

Keep in mind that when you go down, special infected people will be waiting for you in the mine, so be extremely careful and kill them all first, and then take a place on the ledge.

As soon as you sit down on the ledge, take the second joystick and respond to the second response on the radio, thereby calling a rescue helicopter.

After that, take and turn off the second joystick so that the computer takes control of the second player.

Next, we take the first joystick and, as it were, throw ourselves off the ledge on which you are sitting.
You will not fall, but simply hang.

And at this moment, while you are hanging on the ledge, all the bots will somehow “teleport” to you and lift you up.

And if the first time, not all the bots teleported, then take it and jump off the ledge again so that the remaining bots teleport to you.

The most important thing is that the bot controlling the second joystick teleports to you.

As soon as all the bots have “teleported” to you, take a place on the ledge with both players, take the second joystick and also sit on the ledge next to the first player and sit there, only this time the second joystick must be turned on all the time.

The point is that tanks will jump into the mine and some of them can throw stones, and if one of the players is hit by the tank with its stone, then on the other joystick, you need to quickly raise the wounded player.

That’s why you need the second joystick to be on all the time, otherwise when a tank approaches, the bot will start running away from it, but on the contrary, you need to sit on the ledge all the time so that the tank runs towards you and falls into the mine.

At the end, when the helicopter arrives, turn off the second joystick so that the computer takes control of the second player and everyone goes up to the roof, throw a grenade to distract the zombies and jump onto the helipad.

You just need to jump off when the helicopter already flies up and opens the doors, otherwise if you jump off ahead of time, you may be grabbed by one of the especially infected.
So be careful.

Here's a video of where you need to sit:

Campaign – "Death Knell"

In the final chapter, before reaching the house with the walkie-talkie, along the way you will come across a place for a picnic under the roof, there will also be small closed rooms from which you can rescue your killed comrades.

So, you can jump onto this roof and wait out all the waves there.

You can jump onto the roof using a table.

Under the roof, there are several dining tables, you need to move one of them to a small hill, closer to the stones on the right side.

The table needs to be moved close to the stones, so that from this table you can jump onto the edge of the roof.

You can move the table using a balloon.

We take the balloon in our hands and throw it directly at the table; the impact will cause it to move.
Then you lift the balloon again and throw it into the table again.
Thus, move the table closer to the stones.

As soon as you move the table to the stones, try to jump onto the roof.

When you manage to jump onto the roof, you need to make preparations for waves of zombies, namely, find cans of gasoline and scatter them under this roof.

You just need to scatter them so that you, sitting on the roof, can hit them with a weapon and set fire to the gasoline.

In order for a chain reaction to begin, when gasoline spills on the ground and everything is on fire, the remaining canisters must also light up when they are engulfed in fire.

The most important thing is that there needs to be one canister, right under the roof, the fire must also touch it for it to flare up.

The point is that while you are sitting on the roof, zombies and special infected of all stripes will gather under it, and when the rescue boat arrives, you need to set them all on fire and kill them with these cans of gasoline.

Because as soon as you jump off the roof, one of the infected will have time to grab you, otherwise you will burn them all and you will have time to run to the boat.

Also don't forget to take a grenade, when you jump off the roof and start running towards the boat, throw a grenade somewhere to distract the zombies.

You can sit out on the roof with a friend, or alone, but it is advisable to have a second joystick.

The point is that when the boat arrives, the second player, controlled by the computer, will be able to save you from a special infected person, or you can simply sacrifice him, thereby diverting the attention of enemies from yourself and running to the boat.

First, the first player jumps onto the roof, then we take the second joystick, run into the house and respond on the radio, thereby calling a rescue boat, after which we quickly run to the table and jump onto the roof.

After this, you need to occasionally press the buttons of both joysticks so that due to inaction, the computer does not take control of any of the players.

As soon as the boat arrives, take the first joystick and shoot at the cans of gasoline under the roof, wait until all the fire burns out, as soon as the fire goes out, turn off the second joystick so that the computer starts controlling the second player and jump off the roof, run to the boat at full speed, if someone grabs you, then the bot should save you, and if he is grabbed, then continue to run anyway and don’t pay attention.

Here is a video showing which roof you should sit on:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4lRFVF458o

There is also another place where you can sit and fire at enemies.

You need to sit on a large flat stone located in the water on the left side of the house with the walkie-talkie.

At the end of the map on the left side in the water, there is a large flat stone, you can jump on it and shoot all the enemies right from afar and most importantly, while you sit there, the tank will not be able to find you, it will run
somewhere on the other side of the map, and then just disappear.

But the only danger will be the Smoker.

He can pull you out of this stone with his tongue.

So, when you sit on a stone, listen carefully to the sounds and look for the smoker, as soon as you see him, kill him immediately, otherwise he will drag you off the stone.

It's easier to do with a friend or alone on two joysticks.

The point is that bots cannot jump onto a rock, they will simply stupidly stand below in the water and attract the attention of enemies.

So before responding on the radio, first kill the bots, and then call the rescue boat.

First, the first player jumps onto the stone, then we take the second joystick and respond on the radio and call a rescue boat, after which we quickly run to the stone and jump onto it.

As soon as the second player jumps onto the stone, turn off the second joystick so that the computer starts controlling it.

Then depending on your luck with the bot, it may happen that he will sit on the rock all the time and not jump off it.

In this case, you will be very lucky, since the bot will dashingly take out all the smokers who sneak up on you.
And you will calmly wait out all the waves.

But maybe it’s the other way around, the bot will jump off the rock all the time, thereby attracting the attention of enemies.

In this case, keep the second joystick turned on all the time to prevent the computer from taking control of the second player (just on the second joystick, occasionally press the buttons so that there is no inaction).

But in this case, you will have to shoot all the enemies yourself and look for the smoker so that he does not have time to grab one of you with his tongue.

As soon as the rescue boat arrives, turn off the second joystick so that the computer starts controlling it, then jump off the rock and run to the pier through the water, away from the shore.

The bot should cover you in case you are captured by one of the special infected.
When approaching the pier, throw a grenade to distract the attention of the zombies, then run onto the pier and run straight to the boat.

Here is a video of where this stone is located:
1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z5D-JGRNNaM
2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9EsQA_7bYY

In addition to this stone, next to it in the water, there are two other high stones, you can also jump on them and fire from there.

Watch the video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSFhyRoXBHk

There is also another stone, it is located on the right side of the house with a walkie-talkie at the very end of the map, to the right of the pier on the shore. You can also jump on it and shoot all the enemies from there.

Campaign – "Death in the Air"

In the final chapter, there is one way to jump on a plane and wait out all the waves there.

If you jump on a plane, you can use luggage containers on wheels; they will be scattered near the wreckage, not reaching the plane.

You can move luggage containers using a cylinder.

We approach the container so that there is a small gap between you and the container and throw the cylinder into it. As soon as you throw it, you need to immediately simultaneously press the left stick towards the container and push it, so the cylinder will get stuck between you and the container and things will happen container movement,
in the direction where you will push the container.

In total, you will need two containers; you will need to push them to the truck, which is located not far from the front of the plane.

You can jump onto this truck, and then from it we jump along the luggage containers to the plane, then we jump onto the nose of the plane and go to the middle, where you will need to sit out.

Once you have placed all the luggage containers in the right places, first practice how to jump on the plane, and then just answer on the radio.

On an airplane, it is better to sit with a friend or alone with two joysticks.

The bottom line is that while you're sitting on the plane, your only danger will be
- Smoker.

He can pull you off the plane with his tongue.
Therefore, you need a partner who can quickly free you from the smoker’s tongue.

For example, you can do it alone with two joysticks.

First, the first player jumps onto the plane, then we take the second joystick and respond by radio. As soon as you open the gas valve, immediately run to the truck and jump onto the plane along the luggage containers and sit down right in front of the first player.

When you sit on the roof of the plane, you will need to use both joysticks and constantly press the butt strike button - LT .

This is so that if one of the players is grabbed by a smoker, then with a blow from the butt, you can quickly free the player, so you need to sit on the plane closer to each other and press the LT button all the time.

Keep in mind, before answering on the radio, first scatter gasoline cans at the bottom near the plane,
in the end, you will need to set them on fire with a shot from a weapon, since a whole crowd of zombies and especially infected ones will gather under the plane, who will immediately attack you when you jump from the plane.

So before you jump off the plane, first set fire to all the enemies under the plane, and then jump off.

You can even take a Molotov cocktail just in case and throw it right near the rear entrance of the plane.

As soon as all the fire has burned out under the plane, turn off the second joystick so that the computer starts controlling it, wait until the rear hold is completely open and jump off the plane and immediately run into it.

Here is a video showing where you need to move the luggage containers:
1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hT42ZAfOsfo
2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7zUqSogk_U

Another good tactic is to stand in an open area on the left side of the front of the plane.

There will be an open area where you can stand and shoot all the enemies from afar.

Especially bots, they will be good at taking out all enemies, so that even special infected ones will not be able to sneak up close to you.

The tactics are simple - at the beginning we take a machine gun and a Molotov cocktail, then we answer on the radio and open the valve for refueling gasoline, after which the whole crowd runs to an open area, away from the plane and begins to shoot all the enemies from afar.

Bots are very good at this.

But as soon as the tank appears, you need to run up to the plane and wait for the tank to appear, as soon as you see it, throw a Molotov cocktail at its feet and stupidly run away from it around the plane.

The point is that if you set a tank on fire, it will burn all the time and its life will quickly go away, even if you don’t shoot at it.

The fire itself will finish him off, you just need to run around the plane from him and try not to get caught
to someone especially infected.

As soon as the tank is dead, quickly replenish the ammo, grab another Molotov cocktail (for the next tank) and run back to the site.

As soon as you survive the next wave of zombies, a second tank will appear.
You also set it on fire using a cocktail and wait for it to “simmer.”

After his death, the plane will begin to drive away and the rear hold will open; as soon as it opens completely, we run into the plane and fly away.

Here is a video walkthrough using this tactic:

Campaign – "Bloody Harvest"

In the final chapter, there is one way to go beyond the location, namely to jump to the edge of the map.

When you get to the house with the walkie-talkie, we go into it, go forward and exit the house through the back door and go right to the end of the road, straight to a small hill, to the place where a rescue armored car will take you away.

On the left side of the entrance to this hill, there will be a small fence made of an iron sheet, there will also be a haystack in front of it.

So, we jump onto this fence, turn back and jump forward.
You will jump onto some kind of “invisible platform” in the air.

Next, we turn to the right and exactly in a straight line, go to the edge of the map and jump onto it with a running start.
You probably won’t be able to jump the first time, so practice first.

As soon as you manage to jump, we run along the edge of the map to the other end to a large stone.
There you will sit back and wait for the armored car to arrive.

It's better to do it with a friend or alone on two joysticks.

First, the first player takes a place for detention, on the edge of the map, then we take the second joystick and answer on the radio, thereby calling a rescue armored car.

After that, we quickly run to the “magic place” and also jump onto the edge of the map, and then we run along the edge to the first player, as soon as we reach him, we sit down and wait out all the waves, until the arrival of the armored car.

The most important thing is that while you use the second joystick to answer the radio and then jump to the edge of the map, occasionally press the buttons of the first joystick so that due to inaction, the computer does not take control.

In the same way, you will need to occasionally press the buttons on both joysticks while you wait out all the waves on the edge of the map until the armored car arrives.

As soon as the armored car arrives, turn off the second joystick so that the computer starts controlling it and the first player runs to the armored car.

The computer will cover you in case one of the specially infected catches you.
And don’t forget to take a grenade when you run up to the armored car, throw it somewhere further away to distract the zombies.

Here is a video where you need to jump onto the edge of the map:

There is another good tactic - in a house with a walkie-talkie on the second floor, as soon as you go up the stairs, you need to go straight into the second door.

There will be a room from which it is very convenient to shoot all the enemies.

You just need to make sure that all the bots enter the room; while in the room, you can safely control the door and windows, where enemies will mainly appear from.

But when a tank appears in the house, you need to leave the room through the window to the left.

There will be a small corner on the roof on the left side; if you stand in it, the tank will not find you and will not climb through the window after you.

You only need to go out the window when the tank is climbing the stairs to the second floor.

Otherwise, if you go out the window and at that time the tank is still on the street, it can climb onto your roof, or throw a stone and kill you.

Also keep in mind that when you stand on the roof in the corner, a smoker can pull you off this roof with his tongue.

So when you stand on the roof, keep pressing the butt strike button - LT .
This will help discourage the smoker's tongue and free him from it.

As soon as the tank disappears, run back into the room and again fight off the waves of zombies, after the second tank appears, also go out the window onto the roof on the left side and wait for it to disappear.

After the second tank disappears, an armored car will come to you.

Go to the right side of the roof, wait for the armored car to stop and open the back door, as soon as the door opens and the ladder goes down, jump off the roof and immediately run into the armored car.

Here's a video of this tactic:

This tactic can also be used if you are playing with friends.

In that room, there is a small closet, all four players can sit in it and shoot all the enemies from there, the enemies will run out right under the gun.

The most important thing is that when everyone goes out the window onto the roof and stands in the corner, all players need to press the butt button all the time - LT .

This is in case one of you gets caught by a smoker.
With a blow it will be possible to free the player from the smoker's tongue.

Alternatively, you can try another place - it is located in a corn field.

Before reaching the house with the walkie-talkie, on the left side at the end of the map, next to the corn field, there will be a large barn,
under the roof of which there will be large stacks of hay and near this barn, already in the corn field itself, there will be a large iron barrier, on the edge near it there will be an exit to the field.

So, if you stand there all the time, your bots will kill all enemies from afar.

Since all the enemies will run towards you across the field, it will not be difficult for bots to see and destroy them, right from afar.

You won’t see any enemies, all because of the heavy overgrowth on the field, but the bots see all the enemies and will shoot them a mile away.

Only now, when a tank appears, you need to listen carefully and watch from which side it will appear,
from the side of the field or from the side of the house, in order to have time to hide from it behind a barrier, on one side or another.

As soon as you see him, throw a Molotov cocktail at his feet and go behind the barrier and immediately start shooting at him.

He will be able to get around the obstacle from the edge, but during this time, while he is running towards you, the bots will destroy a lot of his life, all you have to do is set him on fire so that the fire will finish him off.
