The Alpha Werewolf are bigger werewolf with color on their backs. They are a little bit tougher than regular werewolfs. Easy to take down with a shotgun. Just make sure when they are done you shoot them in the head to kill them for good.

This achievement is STORY BASED and must be completed to progress.
You will run across an Alpha Werewolf part of the way through Episode 4. The Alpha Werewolf has a large tuft of black fur on its back and is a little larger than the normal werewolf. It is also far stronger and harder to kill than the normal werewolf. Your shotgun and the Desert Eagle work very well against the Alpha Werewolf. An explosive grenade is far better though - just be careful to detonate it far enough away from yourself so it does not kill you as well.

Story-related and can’t be missed. A little ways into Episode 4 you’ll get a cutscene introducing you to Alpha Werewolves. Kill it like you would any other werewolf and the achievement will unlock.
