How to unlock the Forever Alone achievement in LEGO Dimensions - Definitive Guide

This achievement is not as difficult as it sounds. Load up the first level of the game "Wizard of Oz: Yellow Brick Road" with only one character on the portal area. Keep your original squad (Gandalf, Wildstyle & Batman) close and the batmobile. As the level progresses just clear off the first character and add another in. Achievement will unlock at the end in about 15 minutes depending if you've played it previously, remember to skip cutscenes. Video below shows playthrough for this achievement.

I tried to unlock this by completing the Simpsons DLC level with only Homer (on the second playthrough- first time was with others on the pad), and it did not pop for me. Nor did I get it with the BTTF level either. I just got "That was heavy!", but not this one by completing this with only Marty on the pad. The solution showed worked like a charm, thumbs up from me.

While that may be true, not everyone will have access to that pack since it's an additional purchase. Went for the wider option that everyone has access to.

This achievement seems to be totally glitched. I've now completed at least 3 levels with only one character, and yet this will not pop. I've tried Homer's level and Back to the Future, but nothing.

I just got mine today! As soon as I entered the Vorton I only had Marty, the Hoverboard, and the Time Machine on the pad. I skipped all the cut scenes and as soon as the level ended the achievement popped. Should only take about 10 minutes. Good luck!

I did the same ACEA62. To add some help, I had my hover board on level 3 & would use it for shortcuts, sometimes causing it to get stuck, making me have to lift the piece from the portal & replacing it. This causes the achievement to not pop. I left Marty, the Hover board (lvl 1), & the Delorian on the portal the whole time & rushed through the level & the achievement popped. Hope this helps.

I can confirm that you can die with one character and get this achievement.

Update: OK, got it. It seems that you can't simply swap the characters like that. To switch them and get the achievement you have to:

- Remove the character from the pad
- WAIT for the game to tell you to place a character on the pad
- Then place the character there.

I also removed the car from the pad whenever I didn't need it.
This was the only way I was able to get the achievement.

Just wanted to add that you CAN have an vehicle on the pad during the whole lvl, just make sure you wait for the game to tell you to place a new character on the pad and you should be golden.

You have to have played the level at least once. This can be a simple as starting a level collect some studs and then save and quit. This gives you a results screen. Now start the level again and never have more than one character on the toy pad at one time.

Can confirm it works on the first level. Popped almost immediately after the final cutscene

I tried this on the Fantastic Beasts levels and none worked. Along with Tostie14's comment, I think we can conclude levels with extra characters, besides the ones you bring in yourself, won't qualify. Any of the story levels or the MI level should work fine

This can also be done easily in the Back to the Future level pack that's sold separately because you don't have to switch characters at all. It only makes you use Marty.

To get this achievement, what is required is to only use one character at a time.

It is also necessary to have played the level once, prior to attempting this. Playing the level is as easy as loading into a level and then pressing cn_start, Quit, Quit and Save.

Start the second level, "Meltdown at Sector 7G" with only Batman and the Batmobile on the Toy Pad. Collect the studs that are visible and the two purples behind the sofa, just because. Quit and save. You should get a results screen and animation in the same way as if you completed the entire level.

Now use level select from the Vorton Hub and select "Meltdown at Sector 7G", again, still with only Batman and the Batmobile on the Toy Pad. This time, Play through the entire level. Every time you come to a puzzle that requires one of the other characters, remove the current character. After getting a message about needing a character, place the appropriate character on the Toy Pad. Repeat until you complete the level.

I achieved this very easily on the Mission Impossible level. Only needed to use Ethan Hunt and then move him to solve some of the puzzles. Having Ethan and the car at the same time does not keep the achievement from popping.

The best level to get this trophy in is the very first one, just follow the LEGO Brick Road. Puzzles in the first level will not require two characters at once and it is a pretty short level so you won't have to spend too much time switching characters. To unlock this trophy before you start the level, remove all but one character from the toy pad but do note that the Batmobile doesn't negate this trophy so it doesn't matter which character you leave on. Play through the level like normal and when you have to switch be sure to remove the character on the toy pad first, wait for the character to disappear then place the new character on the toy pad. Repeat that process as needed when switching characters throughout the level. Once you have completed the level then the trophy will unlock:

The best level to do this on is the very first level, 'Follow the LEGO Brick Road'. In order to get this achievement, you need to only have one character on the toy pad at all times. The Batmobile doesn't matter for this achievement you can get this achievement with it on the toy pad; just make sure that no other character besides the one you are playing with is on it. This level is pretty short and doesn't have many keystone rifts like the other levels.

It is very important to wait a couple seconds and lift up the character off the toy pad in the air and put it somewhere away from the toy pad then switch it with the character you need. Just remember to use one character at a time and put your other characters lined up by the toy pad for easy grabs. Follow the video for an easy visual and you should unlock the achievement if done right.

The best way to do this one is by replaying the very first level “Yellowbrick Road” (Wizard of Oz).
Make sure you only have one character and a vehicle (does not count as a character) on the pad.
Do not stop for other stuff like minikits; that might prevent you from getting the trophy (I had that problem after using Venkman and the ghost trap).
Now follow the level and after the last part you will have unlocked the trophy.

Make sure not to have any othe character on the pad, take one off, wait a few seconds and place another on the pad.

The trophy is designed for the complete completion of one chapter by only one player.
If you need to change a character, then remove him from the board, and when the game pauses and asks you to put a toy on the board to continue the game, put another figure.
The main thing is not to allow a second playable character to appear in the game at the same time, to whom you can switch until you complete the chapter.
Transport is not considered a game character!
