How to unlock the Forever Alone achievement in LEGO Dimensions - Definitive Guide
It is also necessary to have played the level once, prior to attempting this. Playing the level is as easy as loading into a level and then pressing , Quit, Quit and Save.
Start the second level, "Meltdown at Sector 7G" with only Batman and the Batmobile on the Toy Pad. Collect the studs that are visible and the two purples behind the sofa, just because. Quit and save. You should get a results screen and animation in the same way as if you completed the entire level.
Now use level select from the Vorton Hub and select "Meltdown at Sector 7G", again, still with only Batman and the Batmobile on the Toy Pad. This time, Play through the entire level. Every time you come to a puzzle that requires one of the other characters, remove the current character. After getting a message about needing a character, place the appropriate character on the Toy Pad. Repeat until you complete the level.
The best level to get this trophy in is the very first one, just follow the LEGO Brick Road. Puzzles in the first level will not require two characters at once and it is a pretty short level so you won't have to spend too much time switching characters. To unlock this trophy before you start the level, remove all but one character from the toy pad but do note that the Batmobile doesn't negate this trophy so it doesn't matter which character you leave on. Play through the level like normal and when you have to switch be sure to remove the character on the toy pad first, wait for the character to disappear then place the new character on the toy pad. Repeat that process as needed when switching characters throughout the level. Once you have completed the level then the trophy will unlock:

The best level to do this on is the very first level, 'Follow the LEGO Brick Road'. In order to get this achievement, you need to only have one character on the toy pad at all times. The Batmobile doesn't matter for this achievement you can get this achievement with it on the toy pad; just make sure that no other character besides the one you are playing with is on it. This level is pretty short and doesn't have many keystone rifts like the other levels.
It is very important to wait a couple seconds and lift up the character off the toy pad in the air and put it somewhere away from the toy pad then switch it with the character you need. Just remember to use one character at a time and put your other characters lined up by the toy pad for easy grabs. Follow the video for an easy visual and you should unlock the achievement if done right.

Make sure you only have one character and a vehicle (does not count as a character) on the pad.
Do not stop for other stuff like minikits; that might prevent you from getting the trophy (I had that problem after using Venkman and the ghost trap).
Now follow the level and after the last part you will have unlocked the trophy.
Make sure not to have any othe character on the pad, take one off, wait a few seconds and place another on the pad.
If you need to change a character, then remove him from the board, and when the game pauses and asks you to put a toy on the board to continue the game, put another figure.
The main thing is not to allow a second playable character to appear in the game at the same time, to whom you can switch until you complete the chapter.
Transport is not considered a game character!
