Complete a story level. Level Pack levels count towards this.
Rescue the citizen in peril (E.G. Hans Moleman in Meltdown at Sector 7-G)
Collect all the mini-kits in a particular level. This opens up an event in the adventure world for another gold brick. Note, The only events available are in the worlds for LEGO Movie (Through the level "The End is Tri"), Simpsons (2 events), Dr. Who (Level pack event only), BTTF (Main story level only), and Portal(Level pack event only). Ghostbusters and Midway Arcade (Main story levels only) can also have their events unlocked, though both are unavailable at the moment.
Achieve "Rule Breaker" Status. Applies to both the story levels and the adventure worlds.
Hidden around the adventure worlds through puzzles, quests, and races (May have to renovate to see the brick).
Simply collect any 30 golden bricks to unlock this achievement.
There are numbers of ways to obtain 30 bricks. Here is a list of some of the ways to obtain them:
- 14 gold bricks from each level completed in Story Mode
- HUB Racing
- HUB Quests
- HUB Renovations
- Obtaining x2 stud multiplier brick
- Mystery Dimensions (Needs 20 bricks to get in)
- Achieve Rule Breaker in levels
- Collecting and Buying Red Bricks
- Going back into levels for minikit completions
Earning the 30th gold brick will net you the achievement.
Note: If you play and collect gold bricks in the Level Packs, those count towards this achievement.
By the end of the story you should have at least 15 gold bricks, possibly more, depending on how many Rule Breakers you've achieved. You will also get one for completing a HUB race and one for completing a HUB quest bringing your total to a minimum of 17. If you picked up the x2 red brick as early as possible then you most likely have upwards of 20. Once you get to 20 gold bricks you can also access the Mystery Dimension, which will also net you another three gold bricks if you complete the 3 sets of three waves. For the last 5-10 gold bricks you can simply collect them from any combination of the HUB worlds or by achieving rule breaker status in levels that you previously didn't, this takes way longer though. In the HUB world you can complete quests, races or just simply find them laying about. Most of the gold bricks that are scattered around are fairly simple to obtain and shouldn't cause you too much trouble. Once you have obtained your 30th gold brick, the trophy will unlock.
