How to unlock the Painting by Numbers achievement in LEGO Dimensions - Definitive Guide

This is a solution for those of you, who like me, played in co-op as second player, did not receive the keystone related achievements, and do not want to start a new game for three achievements.

While many think that these achievements only unlock for the first player, what actually happens is that the counter resets for the second player upon quitting to the menu, or dropping out. So we are going to avoid that. it will take about an hour to grind each one, but if you have the time, it is better than starting fresh.

For the Chroma mode we are going to load the Aperture science level and get to test chamber 2, once there go to the checkpoint statue, save and continue, then solve the Chroma mode puzzle. Once you do that, quit to Vorton, and re-enter the level. You will start back at test chamber 2, where you will solve the puzzle again. Repeat this another 23 times, and the achievement will unlock.

Short version, create a checkpoint at test chamber 2 in the Aperture science level and solve the Chroma puzzle 25 times, and it will unlock as the second player.

important, you must not quit to the menu, or drop out while you are doing this, or it will reset your counter. The first player can drop out, that will not negate it.

While you are here, you can also enter the elemental mode 25 times, and earn
LEGO DimensionsElemental, My DearThe Elemental, My Dear achievement in LEGO Dimensions worth 44 pointsEnter 'Elemental Mode' on 25 unique occasions

Hope this helps everyone, if you have any questions, or suggestions to make this a better guide, please comment, and I will get back to you ASAP.

The Chroma Mode keystone looks like this: ""

Chroma mode is introduced very early in the game. Chroma mode changes the color of the character in order for the character to follow the color paths to paint them that color. Colors are red, blue, and yellow. Some will need to be purple, green or orange. You will need to move the character to different parts of the toy pad to do so.

Farming Method:
- Load the Aperture Science level and play to Test Chamber 02.
- "Save and Continue" at the checkpoint statue.
- Solve the puzzle.
- Once that is done, "Quit to Vorton".
- Re-enter the level
- Rinse and repeat as needed.

The chroma puzzles are the ones where you have to step in the paints and then match each part of the Toy Pad to the colors of your characters. Upon completion of the story you should only need 1-2 more of these to unlock the trophy. The best way to unlock this trophy is to complete the Aperture Science Enrichment Center Level as there are 1-2 in that level and you will have to unlock the trophy for beating the level within 25 minutes, if you have not already. Upon completion of the 25th puzzle the trophy will unlock.
