This will likely be the first acheivement you get.
After watching the intro, you will find yourself in the teleport room where you have to rebuild the teleport using the three characters and the bat car. This is in part a tutorial as you will have to move the characters around on the base, with each of them having to use their abilities to help the teleport rebuild. When it is all done and you progress through the online instruction manual, you can enter it, finish the level and unlock the achievement. Good luck!!

You don't have to build the portal to play this game. You can just put the characters on the portal device without building the portal and you can just progress through the online instruction manual of the portal.

This didn't unlock for me...but I was playing co-op. Might have something to do with it.

This is story related and cannot be missed.
Simply Build the LEGO Gateway toy pad and load up the game. Instructions are HERE if needed.
Note: Building the portal is completely optional. Just by flipping through the on-screen instructions will unlock the achievement.
