In order to obtain 100%, you need to do the following:
Obtain all 200 Gold Bricks
- 24 for completing all story levels
- 24 for getting True Wizard in all story levels
- 24 for finding all 4 Hogwarts crest pieces in every level
- 14 for completing all the lessons during the story
- 60 for finding all 60 Students In Peril
- 16 can be purchased from Borgin and Bukes
- 1 for completing the bonus level in Borgin and Bukes
- 37 can be found in the Hogwarts/Diagon Alley/Wilderness areas
Collect and buy all 20 Red Bricks
Collect and buy all 200 characters
- 72 in story levels (3 per level)
- 128 in the Hogwarts/Diagon Alley/Wilderness areas

For those like me who end up getting stuck at 99.9% completion and with a complete collection of collectables.
Don't try to go through all the areas to see if you missed something. You need to purchase all characters and red bricks. Each character or red brick is worth 0.1%. So first check to see if you bought everything there is to buy.

Hey Gamers! I have finished a complete 100% guide for the LEGO Harry Potter Collection. This particular achievement is tied to getting 100% in the years 5-7 portion of the game. I have made a complete collectible guide to cover all story missions as well as the hogwarts/hogsmeade and diagon/knockturn alley, London, and Wilderness hub areas. I show everything that you need to get 100%!!

To Gain 100% game completion you must:
- Collect all 20 red bricks and buy all extras
- Collect all 200 gold bricks including:
- 24 for each story mission
- 24 for true wizard on each story mission
- 24 for collecting all crests
- 60 for rescuing each student in peril
- 16 can be bought in borgin and burke's
- 14 for completing lessons
- 1 for completing the bonus level
- 37 found in Hogwarts, London, Tent area
- Collect and buy all 200 characters.
It is recommended that you used all the detector extras to make is much easier and a full collectable guide can be FOUND HERE.
