How to unlock the The Bonus Level is Yours achievement in LEGO Harry Potter Collection - Definitive Guide
This achievement is for Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4.
First, let me point out this is an extremely glitched achievement (at least it was for me), and required four playthroughs as a result.
Make sure your Xbox One is set for Energy Saving mode and always quit the game properly when you turn off your system (or even decide to take any kind of break).
This is why:
200/200 Gold Bricks, yet I didn't get the achievement. I went on to get 100% in that playthrough and the rest of the achievements in Years 1-4 (including ones you can't get without meeting the requirements for this achievement), and then got every achievement in Years 5-7 but still didn't have this achievement, so I did a fourth playthrough.
Always try to get Students in Peril (in the Hogwarts HUB) first in each section (or at least not last). For that matter, make sure you actually see him or her (if possible) before you attempt your rescue. Also, do not exit Hogwarts HUB immediately after rescuing a Student in Peril. That ended my seen playthrough, as seen here:
Finally, use the exploit to get Reducto early (see below) AT YOUR OWN RISK!
NOTE: I decided to edit the next part on Chaotic Fiasco's advice. It should add up to 200 gold bricks total.
Here's where you can find the Gold Bricks:
Gold Brick Detector: 84QNQN
Hogwarts Crest Detector: TTMC6D
NOTE: Using codes should NOT affect achievements. However, if you're worried about it, here's where you can find them in Hogwarts:
Gold Brick Detector: Use the Time Tuner on the clock in the Owlery, then go up to the tower.
Hogwarts Crest Detector: Ravenclaw Common Room
NOTE: You can purchase them at Eeylops Owl Emporium. (You can also purchase 12 gold bricks AND find a 13th one by sweeping the floor.)
If you're looking at getting Gold Bricks quickly, there was an exploit in the original game that made it into the Collection. In Year 1, Harry gets the Invisibility Cloak when you play the Restricted Section story level. After the level, go to the class hall in the Hogwarts hub. Then, to get past the Prefect on the flight of stairs on the right, activate the cloak and enter the Transfiguration classroom. When you complete the lesson (you need to complete it anyway if you want the achievement), you unlock the Transfiguration spell.
Here’s a video that shows the exploit working:
(Credit: Inferno King)
NOTE: When I did the Expelliarmus lesson, I kept turning Draco into frogs and mice. However, I was still able to unlock Expelliarmus (and can still use it if I want) and get the Gold Brick, so it should NOT affect the achievement.
Now pause the game and select Return to Leaky Cauldron. Exit the Leaky Cauldron through the left, then look for Professor Quirrell. When you find him, cast Transfiguration on him, then press to possess him. (NOTE: I tested this personally and it worked on my first try.)
NOTE: Before I continue, I should point out that the one time I did this exploit (it was my third playthrough trying to get this achievement), I couldn't get into Slytherin Common Room. I used The Bloody Baron to open the door, but then my characters fell through the floor every time I tried to enter the Slytherin Common Room, so it's possible the exploit prevents you from entering the Slytherin Common Room. You have been warned!
This is how my third playthrough ended:
Now, you can cast Reducto on the gate leading to Knockturn Alley. There you will find the character tokens for Igor Karkaroff (who has Reducto and Riddikulus), Shifty Wizard (Reducto, Riddikulus) and The Bloody Baron (Slytherin Character). You can purchase them at Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions. Why is this important? Because once you unlock the Polyjuice Potion, you can turn into them at the Polyjuice Cauldrons.
Other characters you need for getting to gold bricks and Students in Peril faster (NOTE: You can use any character you want if they meet the requirement for the gold brick or Student in Peril you’re after. I’m just including ones in this list you can get early on.):
Mrs. Mason (Age): Muggle Artifacts Room
Hagrid (Super Strength): The Forbidden Forest story level
Tom Riddle (Slytherin, Parseltongue, Dark Wizard): The Basilisk story level during the boss fight
With the exploit, you should be able to get all the gold bricks in Hogwarts in year 3 after you get the Time Tuner. You should just need the few remaining spells, story level ones, and ones you get placed and purchased in Diagon Alley.
Here’s a video that shows the free roam Students in Peril you can find scattered around Hogwarts:

Is the only option to replay the game if you get this glitch?

Just a small tip as people had/have ended up one gold brick short on this version and the 360 version. In Hogwarts free roam, you may need to revisit Hagrid's garden in Year 4 and complete the slug vomiting puzzle. There is another puzzle here but you may have already completed it, if not use the time turner clock in the back left corner.
Upon completion of the slug vomit puzzle, a cutscene prevents the brick from being collected so after the cutscene, when you respawn, head back to Hagrid's garden and you should be awarded the brick.
Additional notes based on comments: Some Gold Bricks require Time-Turning to collect; one of these areas is Hagrid's Garden, tying into the original solution. The Gold Brick Indicator does not display until you are in the correct time version of that room for the brick's acquisition

Three playthroughs always stuck at 199 gold bricks and either 166/167 because of voldemort from 200 bricks or 163/167 characters because why not

I have 200/200 but no achievement.
Edit: I replayed it trying to get the achievement and the Slytherin Dorm Student in Peril glitched on me. I have every achievement from the first game except this one. #nothappy

There are a total of 200 Gold Bricks in the game. You earn Gold Bricks from completing puzzles and tasks during the main story, such as students in peril, completing crests, achieving True Wizard, etc. You find or acquire them here:
- 72 from Story Levels. 3 per level: Achieve True Wizard, Find all four crest pieces and complete the level.
- 50 for saving all the Students In Peril
- 34 hidden in Hogwarts
- 16 for completing every lesson
- 12 available for purchase from Eeylops Owl Emporium. They cost a total of 6.6 million studs. You can enter cheats to get these, but studs are not very scarce in this game with multipliers on.
- 10 for beating every Gringotts bonus level
- 4 for making the Lego items under the Diagon Alley pub
- 1 in Diagon Alley
- 1 in Knockturn Alley
Use the COLLECTIBLES GUIDE as your companion once again. You will need 200 bricks to unlock Voldemort. Use your Gold Brick Detector cheat (84QNQN) as well.
