How to unlock the Collector's dream achievement in LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 - Definitive Guide

The bonus level, which you must either get True Wizard on all of the levels OR just finish them, we aren't sure (EDIT: confirmed by Oldhamer 241, you do NOT need True Wizard on all levels, just beat the game.) is unlocked in Knockturn Alley. Head to the bottom of the alley to find a building, Borges and Burkes.

Before you begin, make sure you have a dark magic character and a key character found and purchased. I used Voldemort and Mrs Cole, but any goblin supposedly has a key. There are quite a few dark magic items and one vault that needs to be opened. Keep in mind that there is more than enough studs, but you have to scour the lego city to find it all.

3 vehicles are located around the area that need to be driven to get a good chunk of blue studs. The lego truck and the red double decker bus are out in the open, but the train will need some steps and dark magic to access it. (Edit: a 4th vehicle has been found! Phoenix C64 reports that finding all of the red and white mushrooms in the forest makes a mushroom car spawn that adds another row of studs worth 30k. Make sure to scour that forest for these things, I didn't find it myself, and it probably would of really helped me.)

When you reach the witch's hut and use Leviosa on the roof, a white ball will spit out. MAKE SURE that ball is moved from its spot where it lands. There is a glitch that makes the ball disappear if you let the tower nearby land on it. You'll need this ball to get into the 2 goals that you'll create.

When tearing down buildings, use the targeting reticule to help you find anything else to blast. If you've recently blasted it, check it again because more often than not you'll open another piece to blast. You won't be able to completely tear down a building.

Check the blind walls because they like to hide purple studs around the far east wall where you can't see. There are also lots of little blue flower spawn spots where the blue flowers just jump out of the ground. When you assemble the hanging flower things on a few of the walls, make sure you blast them to get more studs. You can do this once.

When you reach the trees in the west, some can be blasted and some you can use Leviosa on. The Leviosa trees will spawn little spiders. Target one of the spiders to make them fall off, then you can blast the trees. There are also lots of red mushrooms that will spawn, but they are only worth about 60 studs (30 for the spawn, 30 for the blast). Edit: Find them all for a vehicle to spawn with a line of 30k or so studs. Credit to Phoenix C64 for this find!

Use Aguamenti on bronze speakers to fill areas with water. One building has an Apparition pad that cannot be accessed until you flood the roof. Also make sure you water the brown spots in the corners and then blast the flower that spawns.

While blasting the castle looking thing, you're going to come across a cake. Leviosa the cake to make it land on the wall and paint it red, then cut the wall open. There is a blue flower to the right past the chess board.

I never figured out how to mess with the swimming pool, so if anyone figures it out, leave a comment and I will edit this solution and give credit.

With all of these tips, you should be able to get at least 1 mil studs. The level ends automatically and you get the achievement and a gold brick for your trouble. Good luck.

Thanks. I mention the brown seeds as the blue flowers in paragraph 6, with the blind walls. Honestly, I don't think the pool is a red herring, it's just that we haven't figured out what it is yet. I'm thinking it was set up a certain way and we have to place the characters on the pedestals, but we can't move Moaning Myrtle, since she's a ghost. The other 2 you can move, I've also tossed them into the pool. I do wish someone would come up with the solution, but as it stands, we don't really need it, especially with the tips listed here. I think it is a bit better than a guide that tells you the exact order because an exact order would spoil it, and some of the stuff in Lego City is fun, even though it is a chore to do.

Ah, my mistake, didn't see your mentioning of the seeds. It's possibly it could be really well hidden (or maybe glitched), but either way, no one has found a way to use it yet and it's not necessary so I think chasing after it is just a distraction.

True, we'll see if anything comes up. And yeah, it was a viewpoint thing, no worries. You saw seeds, I saw flowers, heh.

I've unlocked the bonus level after having completed the game - I haven't yet got True Wizard on all the levels. So you just need to complete game to unlock the bonus level.

Great guide by the way

another nice tip: in the forest area, make sure to run around for a while to get new little mushrooms to pop. when you have found them ALL a new mushroom vehicle spawns and when you mount it, you get a small path of studs worth around 30K

Great find. I didn't know about a mushroom vehicle. I know that I had one of the runs where that 30k would of probably put me over the top. I'll add this and credit.

Right before the other train pulls the coal car away you'll notice a bunch of blue and purple studs in the back. I wasn't prepared for it and the car got pulled away before I could get in it. It also doesn't seem to be left anywhere on the level.

I can also confirm that once all the red and white mushrooms are destroyed the crab "vehicle" from the forest appears.

Yeah, I remember the coal car studs. I had destroyed as much as I could on the train before I got it rolling so I was able to get those studs. I also noticed the old train was gone after I let it loose. That's a tough break that happened to you. They can be really unfair about the stud collection sometimes.

I agree that the podiums at the pool don't do anything.

I've seen a bunch of threads on it and I haven't seen a single person who found something useful concerning the swimming pool. It's almost certainly a red herring.

The only other tip that a few people have suggested. and one that I followed, is to simply run around on the green areas to make the little brown "seeds" pop up, the flowers are worth a few studs but they can mean the difference between ~980,000 and 1,000,000.

Nice job on this solution, lots of good tips.

I noticed that there are no video guides for this achievement so i decided to make one myself and post it here. In my vid i show you what to do to get a million studs i do not take you step by step but if you follow what i do in the video you will get a million studs. There are two requirements you need a dark wizard and a person with a key so a goblin.

The bonus level is found in Knockturn Alley at Borges & Burkes, and you must have 24 specific Gold Bricks. It plays similarly to other Lego games bonus levels where you must obtain one million Lego studs: just interact with everything.

My only advice is to not waste your time at the swimming pool. There are Harry, Ron, and Moaning Myrtle NPCs standing around a pool with a buildable winner's stand (bronze, silver, and gold). I spent a lot of time trying to get something to happen there to no avail. Fortunately, the millions studs can be acquired without doing anything special at the pool.

Any idea which gold bricks they are? I've heard they're for getting True Wizard on the levels, but I got it built before I had all of them TWed. Could be just for finishing each level. A word of caution though, make sure you have unlocked a dark wizard (and purchased them) because I had to restart since I tried it before buying all my character tokens after beating Year 8.

The 24 gold bricks needed are just for completing all 24 levels of the story. You need a Dark Wizard character and a character with a key (Dobby, Kreacher, Bogrod or Griphook).

It can be done without a character with a key. But then, it makes it easier if you have one. Just destroy everything you see, and make sure you take a ride with the red bus, cargotruck and the miniature train which appears at a certain moment. I also didn't manage to do something special at the pool.

Nothing at the pool and no key, but was still able to complete the level. Just have to destroy anything and everything, including things you've already interacted with.

To access the Bonus Level, you need to get True Wizard in every main level. Once it's done, go to Knockturn Alley and at the end of it, enter the Borgin and Burkes shop. Inside you will be able to build a secret door; this is where you will access the bonus level. Your objective is to get 1,000,000 studs in this level, but you can't use the Red Brick multipliers. It is recommended to have a Dark Wizard and a Key character before attempting this trophy. Destroy everything you see, use Leviosa when you can and read the tips below if you still need more studs.

There are 4 vehicles around the level, and they will make some blue studs appear when you enter them. Simply follow the path and collect them while driving the Bus and the LEGO Truck. The Mushroom car will appear if you destroy every white and red mushroom in the forest area; these mushrooms will randomly pop while you're walking. There is also a Train but it will require a Dark Wizard to be able to drive it.

Use Aguamenti everywhere you can. There are a few spots that need to be filled with water to get more studs. One of them will net you a ball; you can create two goals on the street and score a goal in both of them for some studs.

Don't forget to use the targeting reticule when you tear down buildings. Sometimes you think you can't destroy them anymore, but with the right angle it's possible, netting you more studs.
