How to unlock the Hogwarts has Changed achievement in LEGO Harry Potter Years 5-7 - Definitive Guide

In Year 7 Part 1, you will play a mission called "Magic is Might". Right after that, you will be outside of a tent with Harry and Hermione. Simply go inside the tent and to the left is a table with a map on it. Press 'B' and you will be taken into Hogwarts as other characters. Follow the ghost studs and use the wanted poster as the hint tells you. Enjoy your achievement!

NOTE:
Flyboy80498 has also pointed out that you should still be able to acquire this achievement during Year 7 by visiting the tent, no matter the area.

ALI G 008 has said that this achievement is only possible in Year 7. Otherwise it is missable. You may NOT earn it after the storyline in Year 7, you MUST do it in Year 7.

Just to let you guys know and to update the solution THIS ACHIEVEMENT IS MISSABLE if you finish the 7th year. I didn't look at the achievements when going through and was going to get this after I had finished the main story but the map isn't in the tent and the only way around this is to go through the story again. I have looked on other sites and a bunch of other people are saying the same. Might want to add this to the solution so people don't make the same mistake i made.

You can not re-visit in free play. If you're already past Year 7, then unfortunately you'll have to make a new save.

Fuck didn't know this was missable. Since when are there missable achievements in a LEGO game?

Can you get 100% without this achievement and then go back a second time to get this?

Since when are there missable achievements in a LEGO game?
, man this is like the only lego game i know that has one, most games just have them that you need to replay a mission or something, i thought there would be a time turner like the first Lego Harry Potter and thats how you get it, damn they made this one a challenge, reminds me of an achievement in Assassins Creed II where if you don't have the first DLC and you miss it, you'll spend a decent 8-12 hours getting back to the point where you earn a single 5G achievement.

The player can also do this achievement a couple of episodes after Magic is Might. I missed it the first episode afterwards because I was not paying attention to achievements (typically I do not). But LEGO's is one of my favorite series, so I checked achievements really quickly to see what I was missing at that time. I noticed this was one of them and I was in Year 7. I then checked the solution to it. I was just about to start "Sword and Locket" and had already done "Magic is Might" AND "In Grave Danger." While I could not immediately access the Maurader's Map, I backed out to Diagon Alley to buy some characters. Afterwards, I followed the ghost studs back to the area it told me to go. The ghost studs lead me inside the tent, which then had the Maurader's map. The Maurader's Map took me to Hogwarts at that time. Again, I had just completed Year 7's "In Grave Danger" and had yet to start Year 7's " Sword and Locket" and was still able to achieve this achievement.

If you want to get this achievement outside of a story mission in Year 7.1 (when the tents are available), this video guide shows how to get there via the London Streets.

As noted in the other solution, it must be after Year 7, mission 2 but before the end of Year 7, Part 1.

Very important: It seems to be best to do this after the episode "Magic is Might." The Marauder's Map--the item you need for the achievement--seems to sometimes glitch and disappear once you start the next episode. (If it does, exit to Diagon Alley, and then follow the ghost studs back to the tent, and hopefully it will turn up. Thanks to Flyboy80498 for the feedback and tip).

As soon as the cutscene after "Magic is Might" ends, you'll spawn outside a tent. Go inside, and look to the left. The Marauder's Map is on a table. Simply pick it up, and you'll see Hogwarts through the eyes of Ginny and Neville. The achievement pops immediately. After that, if you don't want to explore (there's nothing new to see), follow the ghost studs to the top of the stairs and click on the "Wanted" poster to go back to the tent.

This is also the place where you can get the "O Children" achievement, by having Harry and Hermione dance in the tent.

Good luck!

"You MUST do this after the episode "Magic is Might." is not true. I did this two episodes after "Magic is Might" and was able to access the Marauder's Map. While I had to go back to Diagon Alley and had to back track to the tent, I was able to access the map to take me back to Hogwart's.

Since I believe in owning up to why someone voted negative the above reason is my negative vote reason. If you fix the solution to reflect a correct solution I will happily vote positively. Until then, I simply can not give a positive vote because you may make someone start their entire game over to get this achievement. And that is a lot of game to go through for this achievement if they happen to miss it the first episode after "Magic is Might."

I believe this achievement is available or earned right before Snape's Tears, but can be unlocked sooner. You can use the tent they stay in during the appropriate years to visit Hogwarts, or if you visit Diagon Alley. In Diagon Alley, available through the menu, you can go to Knockturn Alley, and in the only door there, at the end, you're able to use the closet thing (don't know the name sorry) to visit Hogwarts.

HIGHLY MISSABLE

This is the only missable trophy of the game. The first opportunity to get it is right after Year 7 Level 2 (Magic is Might) and Level 3 (In Grave Danger). You have another chance to get this trophy between Level 3 and Level 4, but after that you can't get it anymore.

After completing Level 2 in Year 7, you will be outside of a tent with Harry and Hermione. Go inside the tent and to the left is a table with a map on it. Interact with it to travel to Hogwarts and get the trophy.
