How to unlock the Not Machine Compatible achievement in LEGO Jurassic World - Definitive Guide

Easy. Go to triceratops territory in The first Jurassic Park HUB. on the far left where the red brick was you will find a hut. Bust up the boxes on the ground to the left of the hut. Assemble the terminal. Use Alan grant to try and operate the terminal..pop goes the achievement.

You can get this in the Breeding Facility level of Jurassic Park 3 as part of the story. It's upstairs in the far right office above where you take dino photos. Just go in the office and use the computer terminal at the back.

I am going to copy and paste the solution from SmirkDirk on the Xbox 360 version of the game, because it is a far more descriptive solution than the ones that we have here already (e.g. there doesn't seem to be a Triceratops Zone in JP hub)

"In freeplay, load up the "Visitor Center" level in Jurassic Park. Choose the "Control Room" checkpoint. When you get the opportunity to use the first hacker terminal, attempt to hack with Alan Grant and the cheeve will pop."

Note: InGen and Jurassic World access panels do not count towards this achievement. It needs to be a computer that has to be hacked by someone with that ability.

You can first unlock this in Free Play in Level 5 of Jurassic Park, ‘The Visitor Center’, at the checkpoint “Control Room” after you complete the first movie.

You begin in the control room and need to restore power to the computer. Once you restore the power, instead of a hacker character, select Alan Grant. Try and use the computer by pressing  to find out he can’t, unlocking the achievement. You can unlock this after you complete the Jurassic Park story by replaying this level and selecting the appropriate checkpoint and character.

Thanks to GameGuideCentral.com (The Visitor Center):

If you decide to continue with the story instead of replaying a level in Free Play, this can also be unlocked in Level 3 of Isla Sorna, ‘Breeding Facility’, in Story Mode.

About three-quarters of the way through the level, as you are making your way through the facility, after you build the bone ladder and climb it, Billy Brennan says “Whoa! Look at all the things…”. Follow the pathway all the way to the right and up the stairs into an office (do not go downstairs yet). There is a computer there. Switch to Alan Grant and attempt to use it by pressing . He will lift his arms and shake his head, unlocking the achievement.

Very simple trophy to obtain as long as you know what the game considers a hacker terminal, InGen Access panels and the wifi points do NOT count for this trophy. A good place to get this trophy is during the Visitor Center Free Play level, during the Control Room Checkpoint. When you get to the control room you will eventually make it down to a lower level, head down the path to the right and in the corner of the area with the stairs is a hacker terminal that you can have Alan Grant try to hack, as soon as you do the trophy will unlock.

InGen panels are the electronic locks you come across throughout the game, as pictured below.

These are found in many Levels, so during Free Play, you can simply switch to Alan Grant (who is unlocked naturally during the early parts of Jurassic Park), and access the panel, earning the trophy.

There is also an opportunity to earn this normally during Story Play, on Jurassic Park III, Chapter 8, Level 1 (Lab Interior). Your default characters include Alan Grant, and this Level has a Panel towards the end.
