How to unlock the Time Waits For No Kang achievement in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 - Definitive Guide

Just do one of every race. Have to gold them to get the respective characters anyway. If you use codes to bypass getting characters, you'll still have to complete the race for this achievement.

One of the best all-around characters is Crystal. She can fly, she swims fast, and she counts as an acrobat, so you can use her to "fly" through acrobat stages.

I did this and it remained locked, so as adelin113 said I checked the races which unlocked characters. I got it to unlock eventually, but was for one I'd definitely done before (Lemuria - hard to forget) and I don't see why I would use a cheat to get Hulkling, but there we go.

Either way, I have the list of characters that can be unlocked with cheats, and the race you need to do for them - maybe some will have one showing locked, and this may help. Got the info from IGN for them and just tore out what I needed.

Captain Britain Complete the taxi race in Sakaar
Crimson Dynamo Complete the flying race in Attilan
Darkstar Complete the motorcycle race in Attilan
Green Goblin Complete the flying race at the top of the blimp in the Hydra Empire.
Hawkeye Complete the acrobatic race on the bridge between Manhattan Noir and Manhattan
Hellcow Complete the motorcycle race in Asgard
Hulkling Complete the race in Lemuria
Loki Complete the boat race outside of Xandar
Maestro Complete the foot race on the roof in Sakaar
Militant Complete the race in Hydra Empire
Misty Knight Complete the van race on the road outside Xandar.

Just to add on because it took me a while to find, you unlock a lot of vehicles via the challenges. Captain America's 4X4 counts as a Van for the van races.

The motorcycle race along the outside of Attilan is ridiculous. The vehicle keeps sliding off the side after the third ring or so. And the ring is on the incline, so there's no avoiding it.

Another character one could use in the water races is Iron Man. He is slightly faster than the others (besides Crystal) and is easier to control.

I use Stingray for the water races, but does anyone have any tips for the motorcycle races? I always fail them using Ghost Rider's bike.

Winter Soldier’s Bike I found best for the bike races, play all mini games.

This achievement glitched on me. I have every other achievement in the game, but this one stayed locked

A list of races would be great. @TheSWFC I am in the same position, and as I was collecting Gold Bricks in England another race unlocked for me so I'm thinking no they aren't.

You need to do side quests in Hydra Empire to get one of the races, at least. I just did the side quest where you stop the Hydra parade and got a race icon unlocked on the map nearby.

Any races completed in co-op by the other player have to be replayed and won by the primary account. I am stuck on this one and have to go back through every race until it pops. Ugh....

This was forced for me, likely because I used the cheat codes. I replayed every race, got hold, no change. Then today, I tried again. Did a couple of races, but the one that popped it for me was the attilan free fall race. Good luck... Last time I use codes to unlock characters...

In the list of DomeJohnny there are 3 races in Medieval England but i can’t find the Acrobatic race. Any help would be much appreciated

ok, I just got the achievement, finally.

As far as I can see, there are only 2 races in Medieval England, boat and flying. It was the flying race that finally unlocked it for me

I read elsewhere that doing the race to unlock Groot (Ravager) was getting the achievement to unlock for people. And wouldn't you know it, as soon as I did that race I got the achievement to pop as well. So I'd recommend doing that one if you're having trouble unlocking this. It's a taxi race in Hydra Empire, located to the right of the main square just before you get to the bridge.

I don't know what I am missing. I have done 30 different races, all gold. And yet, this achievement still haunts me. Short of trying to redo ALL the races in one login, is there perhaps another race that I am missing? Is there a race that pops from DLC that I might need to get?

That list is missing a few. You also unlock a Kang Minion by doing a race in Medieval England, which is unlocked once you complete the nearby Robot Horse puzzle. There's also Vormund by doing the Race above Avengers Mansion, Iron Man (Old West) from a race in the Old West, the Mummy Bodyguard from a race in Wakanda, and Red Guardian and Rhino from races in Egypt.

Thanks for the advice, @Stefan Leroux. I ended up taking an educated guess at the race I missed due to a cheat code (Ragnarok), finished it, and the achievement popped.

This glitched for me too. I reran the Van race that starts in Xandar and ends in Manhattan Noir and it unlocked for me.

I did all the races too and no achievement...today i did the attilan flying races with the 45 Checkpoints and it popped. Weird achievement indeed with this Lego game in particular. Sometime the Level achievements didnt pop either. Had to redo the levels then.

When using codes to release characters, the race that would release that character is marked as completed on the map, but in fact you haven't played and won it yet, so you have to go to it and win it to count.

This is just a tip, but depending on the race, you'll want to approach them a certain way.

Car: Any car, though I went with Lola since she counts as both a car and a flying vehichle.

Motorcycle: Any motorcycle other than Ghost Rider's because it's big, bulky, and hard to maneuver in narrow streets.

Van: Captain America's 4x4 was the only one I found that worked.

Flying: Create a flying character in Avengers Mansion with super speed.

Web Slinging:Create a web slinging character in Avengers Mansion with super speed. However, they may be harder to control. I struggled with my web slinger randomly going too high and over the ring.

Swimming:Just use your created flying character. One of the swimming races involves flying anyway.

Boat:Any boat will do.

Acrobat: You can't create an acrobat character, so any acrobat will do. You can even go with a flying character with acrobat ability. However, I struggled trying to get through the rings with flying characters because I kept trying to treat them like acrobats rather than flying characters. If you want a flying character, Crystal is good since she doesn't have Hyper Jump, so you don't risk her not jumping when you need her to jump.

There are races scattered around Chronopolis. You will need to have access to specific vehicles depending on what the race requires. The races will award you with Character Cards, but only if you achieve the Gold Medal time.
For the most part the Gold Medal times are lenient, but do note the controls are a little wonky and the vehicles do have a tendency to get stuck in very small portions of the map, wasting precious seconds of time to get to the next gate. There's no real way around it except to keep trying until you get it.

There are 27 races scattered throughout Chronopolis. Completion of each race with a gold medal awards you with a character card.

Every area of Chronopolis except Knowhere and Kang’s Citadel is accessible after completing Level 5, ‘Hydra Hijinks’. Those two are accessible at the end of the story. Each area in the hub has icons representing activities to complete or items to collect. The race icon is a checkered flag. Make your way to the icon to start a race. Note that some races are not accessible until you’ve completed other races or quests. Also note that in order to complete some races, certain character abilities or vehicles may be required.

You begin the race at the first checkpoint and have a certain amount of time to reach the next checkpoint. If successful, your time increases to get to the next checkpoint, and so on. If you run out of time before reaching a checkpoint, you have to start the race over again.

There is no best character or vehicle to use to complete these races. For flying races, it is recommended that you use a character instead of a vehicle for maneuverability. Since there aren’t any Speed characters in the game, it is suggested for land races you choose a small vehicle, like a motorcycle, again for maneuverability.

The achievement will unlock when you’ve completed all 27 races.

If you unlocked the characters that are given for completing races using cheats, these races will disappear on your map, but you still need to complete them

I think it’s important to leave one race at the very end so as not to go through all the races again later
