How to unlock the Alter Ego achievement in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes - Definitive Guide

To transform, hold cn_Y as the following characters:

The Incredible Hulk: Unlocked from the beginning. If you keep holding cn_Y, you'll transform between Bruce Banner and Hulk. Do it 50 times for another achievement.
LEGO Marvel Super HeroesI'm Always Angry!The I'm Always Angry! achievement in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes worth 39 pointsTransform into the Hulk 50 times

Red Hulk: Not sure exactly when he's available, but I found him post game near the X-Mansion while still in the city. He's on the same coast as Roxxon and the Thor levels.
Venom: Unlocked after level 3, Exploratory Laboratory.
Curt Connors: Unlocked from the extra level Reptilian Ruckus inside Central Park, opened at 125 gold bricks.
Stan Lee: Rescue all the Stan Lees in Peril. Transforming as him earns another achievement.

I Got Red Hulk very early in the game but it's worth waiting to save up for the stud multipliers :D

It should be noted that you have to transform in BOTH directions for each character. The achievement didn't pop until I transformed back into Red Hulk from his minifig form, after I changed into the minifig much earlier.

I have transformed between all the characters many times and it still won’t give me the achievment

Here is a list of "Big" transformation characters

Hulk
Red Hulk
Curt Conners
Stan Lee
Venom

The Stan Lee will also trigger the Stan's Soapbox Achievement, which requires the completion of all save stan missions.

To unlock this trophy, you must complete all the BIG LEGO figure transformations; not every big LEGO figure can transform. The characters you need to transform are listed below:

Hulk/Bruce Banner - Unlocked upon completion of Sand Central Station in Story Mode
Venom/Big Venom - Unlocked upon completion of Exploratory Laboratory in Story Mode
Curt Connors/Lizard - Unlocked upon completion of Reptillian Ruckus(Bonus HUB Mission) in Story Mode
Red Hulk/General Ross - Located just north of the Bifrosty Reception Icon
Stan Lee/Stan Lee Hulk - Unlocked after completing all 50 Stan Lee in Peril Situations
