How to unlock the I'll Do It Myself achievement in LEGO Marvels Avengers - Definitive Guide

You need to do and collect everything:

- Finish all 15 story levels achieving True Avenger.
- Collect all 150 minikits in the story levels.
- Collect all character tokens (story levels and hub worlds), then buy the characters.
- Collect all vehicle tokens (story levels and hub worlds), then buy the vehicles.
- Collect and buy all 18 red bricks.
- Collect all 250 gold bricks.

You need to save all Stan Lees in order to receive the character token Stan Lee.

You can check your completion percentage in the pause menu. When you reach 100%, fly to the top of Avengers Tower in Manhattan, enter the building, and take the elevator down. Flip the switch on the chest surrounded by furniture to activate the stud fountain.

I was stuck at 99.9%. Turns out, the vehicle stations in Central Park offer different vehicles than the vehicle stations anywhere else in Manhattan. So make sure you buy all vehicles in Central Park and Manhattan, as well as in the other hub worlds.

I suggest avoiding character cheat codes, especially for Finesse and Striker. They are in Retired Peggy Carter's quest line. On another forum, I've seen 3 people who can't find her Quests 3-8 due to using codes.

I think this is a recent bug since the complaints have only been recent. The other forum is officially for PS4, but draws in other consoles, so I don't know if the problem is only for certain consoles. Regardless, using those 2 codes aren't worth the risk, in my opinion.

Haven't used any cheats but missing two character tokens. Hub has reset quests and wants me to redo them, giving studs only.

Never mind. They were inside the Helicarrier. We did those quests before but probably had to leave the game and forgot about them. So check the Helicarrier for missing colored dots laugh

This one didn't pop for me the first time I flipped the switch. I had to reboot the console multiple times (the disc was not recognised) and the second time I started the disco it popped after a few seconds.

M.O.D.O.K isn't appearing for me at the S.H.I.E.L.D. Base hub. There isn't a white character arrow either. I still have a few story missions to complete, hoping one of those causes him to (re)appear.

Yes, you need to finish the Age of Ultron story for MODOK to appear. His mission relates to Ultron.

Is Section 2 the part on the train? As I recall, one of the minikit's arrows is misleading. You destroy some gold early in the section, build a glider, then ride it forward to get a minikit. It's minikit 9 in this guide.

Nope, its the part in the hydra tower. I got the glider one on the train. I have played through the whole level on free play again and checked each spot that a minikit should be and all I found for each one was a blue stud. I think I'm up crap creek here with no paddle and two broken hands.

Thanks for the guide! Just thought I'd add that I didn't realise that Manhattan and the SHIELD Helicarrier seem to share collectables, so I was missing two gold bricks and an extra character. Eventually found the down stairs to the right in the control room which took me to the hangar, which I didn't even realise was there. It had the two bricks and final character.

It's worth noting that the vehicle stations in Manhattan are differently coloured. There are both blue and red stations offering different vehicles.

Just a heads up. If you use the cheat codes to unlock a few characters at the start, it is possible that some missions do not appear in order. I was stuck at 36/41 characters in Manhattan for a good few hours, with no new ones appearing, even though I had done everything else in the game. I worked it out they were Agent Carter missions and replayed the only 2 missions of hers on the map 3 times until finally a new purple dot appeared on the map. Its because the 2nd mission you do for her is a "cheat" code. So I only got 1st and last missions showing up.

Hopefully this will help save you playing the whole game again

Just to add clarity for buying all vehicles once you have unlocked them as it is a bit confusing:

For me, there were 4 areas where i had to purchase in order to get the 100%
- Manhattan / Central Park (Blue and Red pod)
- Manhattan / West Harlem (Blue pod)
- Helipod (Red pod)
- Sokovia (Blue pod)

I think if you follow this, you should be able to get the 100%. Otherwise you will have to travel onto each hub and verify that you have purchased all of them.

You will unlock the Stud Fountain after you have achieved 100% completion in the game, meaning you will have to do almost everything the game has to offer. The requirements to unlock the 100% stud fountain are as follows:

- Complete all Story Levels and Hub sections.
- Achieve True Avenger status in all levels
- Collect all 150 Minikits
- Rescue all 35 Stan Lee in Perils
- Collect and Purchase all 18 Red Bricks
- Unlock and Purchase all 196 Characters
- Unlock and Purchase all Vehicles
- Collect and Unlock all 250 Gold Bricks

Once you have achieved 100%, head to the Avengers Tower in Manhattan and enter the building. Now you will be in Iron Man's Penthouse (the one from Story Mode) so head towards your screen, up one little tiny level and you will see a switch that you can pull which will activate the Fountain.

There are actually three different vehicle spawn points, where you can buy vehicles. The first is the vehicle station in the 7 different Hub, not Manhattan, that sell vehicles only specifically to those Hubs. The second is the blue spawn locations in the Manhattan Hub that sell ground vehicles, and the third are the red spawn locations in Manhattan that sell flying vehicles.

The blue spawn ones are pretty common but the red ones are a little rarer, the one I used was on the dock below the Brooklyn Bridge.

Tips for Free Roam Collecting:

- The Shield Hellicarrier is part of the Manhattan HUB, so if you are missing a few collectibles make sure you complete those as well.

- If you get to the site of a gold brick and there's nothing around, try shooting some items in the area as you probably have to destroy X amount of things within a time limit to unlock it.

- For races I never used a vehicle, I used a flying character for every race and just flew through the checkpoints. I am not a big fan of the driving in LEGO games, so using a flying character is incredibly quick and makes completing the races much easier. The only ones this might not be true for are the Speed point race, but even those weren't that hard when flying.

    • Rescue the remaining Stan Lee in Peril, 1 in each of the 7 hubs and 13 in Manhattan (20 bricks) (refer to “I Am Iron Stan”)

Pull the switch and a colored globe will drop from the ceiling, studs will start falling and spew from the fountain, which will unlock the achievement.

Note: To purchase all 63 vehicles, make sure that you visit both the red and blue platforms located in the hubs as all vehicles are not accessible from one color platform.

To get 100%, you must not only open, but also buy all the characters, air and ground equipment.

To get 100%, you need to buy all the transport, and there are nuances here, firstly, there are two types of terminals for transport, blue and red, and secondly, for some reason, not all types of transport are available in some terminals (for example, there is a blue terminal at the Barton farm , but not everything is there, which is why I thought I had caught a bug when progress stopped at 98.8%), so you need to buy it in Manhattan.

It is also worth noting that if you enter codes for characters, you will have to search for some Agent Carter missions yourself without locators, such as the mission with Hell Cat. The map showed the location of the quest, but NPC Carter was not there.
