Once you've finished the second mission in Curse of the Black Pearl, Tortuga, you'll have access to Anamaria. Either during that mission or back in port, run forward and then while she's in motion, press the other way and the jump (A) button simultaneously. Then keep pressing the A button until you've done 5 backflips.

Make sure you have enough space. I did it in port along the pier, but be careful not to fall in the water.

I remember an achievement like this in LEGO Batman, it's easier with your back against a wall

i did it with elizabeth swan in the 3rd level of the first film last backflip took me off the side of the boat but it still popped

I used Anamari as well to get this. An easier way I found to get this is to put your back against a wall and push back and A at the same time and just keep flipping into the wall. This is just an easier way because you don't have to worry about anyone getting in the way or like Sashamorning falling into the water.

Just adding a visual aid for those who prefer it. Following the instructions above, I earned this after my second attempt. In the level select section, hold

and pick a female character (Anamaria is unlocked earliest). Move forward with

then hit

and move back quickly with

and keep pressing

to backflip until the achievement pops.
