Brian MAY Be Jealous

Achieved 100% Guitar Solo on Expert

How to unlock the Brian MAY Be Jealous achievement in LEGO Rock Band - Definitive Guide

I suggest Swing Swing by The All American Rejects, song is easy and solo is even easier.

Choose expert, use the Rock Band Stratocaster guitar and use the lower solo buttons on the guitar. The game doesn't let you fail so even if you can't do expert normally you should be able to get the achievement.

The solo only uses the first four frets.

youtube link is below the solo is at 2:32 there is also another solo later in the song but it is a little tougher.

Yeah, thanks. I sucked on the rest of the song but got 100% on the solo first try. Video works again, btw.

I would not have thought of using this song - but it was an excellent choice.
Thanks!

First try! That solo was SO much easier than the rest of the song. I didn't think the song was terribly hard, but the solo played itself. Great suggestion!

Using the solo buttons is not required I got this achievement using a GH3 Les Paul controller

Great suggestion. Only downside is that the solo is quite far into the song which means that if you mess up (which I did a few times) then you have to wait ages to try again. The solo is fairly easy though (I'm an average Hard player), I just kept making silly mistakes, always in a different place.

Brilliant solution! I can only play at Medium but I nailed this solo without any problems. Thanks ;)

A very easy song to do this on is So What.
For a bit more of a challenge, the first solo in Ride a White Swan is also possible.

This song is by far the easiest way of getting the eachievement in my opinion. I tried 'Swing, Swing' multiple times, before eventually succeeding. However, if I had just tried 'So What', I would have got the achievement much earlier. I got 100% solo first time with 'So What'.

"So What" by Pink was a very easy song. I am a "Hard" player and didn't have an issue beating this challenge.

You just have to make it to the end of the song for the solo. It goes normal, very fast, fast, then solo. It might take a try or two to get the transition down. Very easy.

Easiest track I've seen to get this achievement is Dig by Incubus. The solo is extremely simple compared to the rest of the song.

Please note that you only need to get 100% in the solo, you can suck as much as you want in the main track. As long as you see 100% appear after finishing the solo (and successfully finish the song) you will get the achievement.

You can do this either in Free Play or Story mode.

And, obviously, you must select Expert difficulty when starting the track :)

The linked video shows this track including a perfect solo (solo starts at 2:56 in the video). The video was uploaded by Steebeh.

If you have the 20 song DLC that you can get from buying RB2 I'm Gone, I'm Going by Leslie Roy is incredibly easy.

Also, of worth nothing, you do NOT need the solo frets to do this.

After struggling with "So what" and always failing at 97% of "Swing Swing", this went down first try. Very good advice!

I got this Achievement on Im Gone Im going by Lesley Roy but this song is downloadable. I got mine from Rock Band 2 which contained a code for it along with others. Anyway this song isn't too hard and as long as your ok with double notes then you should find it easy.

Also on this song you can get the "Solid Gold,Easy Action" and "Flawless Fretwork" achievements without much trouble.

I did this using the Grateful Dead's song "Sugar Magnolia." The song is part of the Rock Band DLC, but if you have it, it works great. The song is somewhat difficult on expert, but since you can't lose in this game, that's not really an issue. What makes this song perfect is that is starts off with a solo that is very short and easy. So if you miss a note, just restart the song and try again. Once you get it, just play the rest and then you achievement will pop up! I added a video below so you can check out the first solo of the song.

Get 100% on a Guitar Solo on Expert. I recommend one of the first songs such as Swing, Swing. However, if you are going for the platinum, See The Final Countdown.

Guitar solos aren't the easiest thing in this game, but here is a running list of easy guitar solos:

  • So What by Pink
  • Summer of '69 by Bryan Adams
  • Dig by Incubus
