How to unlock the I Like That Wookiee... achievement in LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens - Definitive Guide

Like the description states, make sure you have both of these characters. You'll need to have unlocked Maz later in the story. Then play any level on Free Play. Since you can only choose one character at the start, make sure to switch one of them to the other.

Make sure to play with them as much as possible, and end the level with those two active. Otherwise you may not get credit.

Exiting does work however I attempted it twice using Save and Exit which doesn't work, you must choose Quit for the achievement to pop.

Thanks for clarification, both of you! Can confirm it works when you select "Exit Level"

Just confirmed that you can select "Exit Level" and then "Exit Level" again to proceed without saving. Achievement popped shortly after.

I've tried Save & Quit and just Exit Level and neither one popped the achievement. Does it matter which Chewbacca you use? I don't know which one I was using.

I don't think so... this game has been showing a LOT of glitches.

Yeah, my achievement is apparently glitched. I tried with every Chewbacca trying to start/quit then eventually completed a whole mission and it won't unlock.

A number of people have said that their achievements have popped late. I didn't have that problem with a single achievement, but a lot have.

Yeah, I've considered maybe that would happen. I've only had it happen with one other game, the Halo: Master Chief Collection. A lot of achievements would pop a day or two later but I had 3-4 that took a couple of months to pop.

The quitting technique didn't work for me. However, I got it the way you're supposed to do it with no problems unlocking it.

OK, I got it to unlock finally. It didn't pop later like I expected it to. I played through another mission using Maz and Chewie (Rathtar Hunting) and for some reason it popped that time. Maybe it's because that mission doesn't require as much switching around as the previous mission I'd played with them, which was Starkiller Sabotage. I'd selected Maz at the start screen then added Chewie once the level was loaded, and whenever I had to switch to another character I always did it when I was Maz, that way Chewie never disappeared from the party.

the level actually has to end with using the characters as opposed to being in
vehicles

This one was easy on the Epilogue. Choose Chewie for the Free Play (I did just regular Chewie). Then when the level starts, switch the second character to Maz. Switch back and forth from Maz to Rey (only using Rey for the things only she can do), keeping Chewie the whole level. It worked like a charm for me, first try.

I started Epilogue with Chewie. Switched to Maz on the second character. Played for a minute and then just Exit Level -> Exit Level. First go :D

Just got this and started up the Epilogue level. Chose Maz as my main character, then chose Chewie in the level. Grabbed a few studs with both characters and quit out. Achievement popped right away, first try.

Quitting does not work

This one was really glitchy for me. It didn't unlock even after finishing the level as Maz and Chewie numerous times. It then randomly popped mid level later on. That said, it worked fine on the 360 version.

Can confirm that exiting level without saving works and it popped for me!

I found this easiest to do on "Luke's Island" free play. You don't have to play as Maz and Chewbacca the whole level. Play your way through like normal and as you're going up the hill and see Luke make sure to switch your characters to Chewbacca and Maz.

Go to any Free Play level and make sure you have these two characters active. You will probably need to select Maz Kanata. Start the level and then switch to the two characters. You do NOT need to finish the level. Collect some studs then select exit level. Then you MUST choose "Save and Exit." If you do not exit, the trophy will not pop.
