How to unlock the ''You may fire when ready'' achievement in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - Definitive Guide
This is more of an outline with tips to help with the grind since an actual guide for 1000 bricks would be ludicrous speed
Space!
There are 117 bricks in space. Ajan and D'quar have an extra brick that is activity related and Kijimi has nothing, but otherwise all 23 planets have a 5 brick comet to destroy.
Levels My Eggos
There are six bricks that can be earned in every story level by completing all objectives:
Challenges
There is a separate achievement for completing all the "challenges" which can be found under the "!" tab of your navigator thingy, and in total provides 35 bricks.
The Rest
All other bricks will be from exploring and completing all the planets to 100%
IMPORTANT: There are also 9 capitol ships that provide more bricks. You can collect these if you want, but they won't progress any other achievement in the game except this one. Therefore completing capitol ships is a waste of time :(
You will however need to visit a couple of them for some of the challenges, but collecting the bricks is optional.
Make sure you buy the "Collectible Detector" upgrade at level 2 to reveal Kyber Brick locations, but mine-as-well go to lvl 3 for datacards. Also get "speedy sprint" and "fast build" to save some time traversing the world.
Class Upgrades
"Universal Translator" lets you speak all languages with any character so you don't need to keep changing to a droid to talk to some NPCs
+ Have a BB droid in your roster as not only can they open astromech doors, they can also fit in the small prototype droid tunnels. This is much more efficient than needing to constantly detach and reattach C3PO for them.
+ Have a Dark Side character with "Dark Rise" so you can lift your other character up ledges and switch to them to get up there faster. You can completely skip or cheat some puzzles this way.
+ You can be led directly to quests and brick locations by going under the "!" tab of your navigator thingy and selecting one under "side missions" or "puzzles." I would personally recommend doing a planet's quests first, manually picking up any bricks you find on your way, then track bricks for whatever's left.
+ You need to have the rumor unlocked to track things though. Either you can buy them, or talk to NPCs. Therefore always talk to the NPCs as you go, even if you skip the dialog.
If a quest or puzzle is in red though, it cannot be done until the specified unlock conditions are met.
+ Bricks found in cages usually have buttons to press or shootable targets around the area to open them. Sometimes they have hidden switches. Generally, when in doubt, the answer is close.

There are 1200 kyber bricks but only 1000 are required for the achievement and game completion.Space!

Useful Upgrades
Core UpgradesMake sure you buy the "Collectible Detector" upgrade at level 2 to reveal Kyber Brick locations, but mine-as-well go to lvl 3 for datacards. Also get "speedy sprint" and "fast build" to save some time traversing the world.
Class Upgrades
- Heroes, Villains, and Astromech Droids have "expert terminal" skills that let them skip doing the mini puzzles.
- Scavengers have an "Expert Climber" skill that vastly improves their slow climbing speed.
- Scoundrel has "Business Opportunist" to lower the cost of buying rumors. Great early game, kinda useless late game when you have billions of studs.
- Dark Side has "Dark Rise" to lift your other character onto ledges for area skips.
"Universal Translator" lets you speak all languages with any character so you don't need to keep changing to a droid to talk to some NPCs
Miscellaneous Tips
+ Make sure you have all of the suggested upgrades listed in the previous section.+ Have a BB droid in your roster as not only can they open astromech doors, they can also fit in the small prototype droid tunnels. There are a total of 1200 Kyber bricks in the game. For this achievement, you only need to collect 1000, but to earn other achievements, 1163 are required.
For 100% completing each of the 45 levels, you will collect 270 Kyber bricks. The remaining bricks are obtained by completing side missions, puzzles, trials, galaxy challenges and on capital ships. As you’re collecting them, if a certain character is required to proceed, an icon will appear on the screen to let you know which ability to use.
Kyber bricks are used together with studs to purchase character upgrades. While you can only spend bricks you’ve collected and the number of bricks decreases with each upgrade you purchase, your total is cumulative so you don’t lose what you’ve collected.
It is suggested that you purchase ‘Collectible Detector’ in the core character upgrades as early as possible as brick locations will then be highlighted on your screen, even though they already appear on your map. You will need to purchase Tier 2 of the upgrade, which will cost 15 bricks and 35,000 studs.
You will earn this achievement on your way to unlocking ''See you around, kid'' (100G). Note that some Kyber bricks aren’t available until certain objectives are completed; you can select locked objectives and purchase the rumor to show what the prerequisites are.
