How to unlock the Unequalled skill of the Dwarves achievement in LEGO The Hobbit - Definitive Guide
In the blacksmith step into the marker and choose which Mithril item you wish to craft. You will need the appropriate design, a certain amount of Mithril Bricks and a certain amount of varying types of loot.
When you start forging you will see two rings. To forge the Perfect item make sure to hit the corresponding button when it hits the inner ring and flashes yellow. Hit enough buttons in the inner ring and you will fill it, which will give you the Perfect item.
If you fail you can try again for free by clicking on the item on the menu
Once you have forged all 32 items perfectly you will get the achievement.
If like me, you're trying to unlock the achievement after you've 100% the game, it can be done quite easily using the perfect forge red brick.
It wont matter that you've already completed the schematic builds.
You know it will be perfect as the green tick turns gold after forging the item.
Do this 32 times and the achievement should pop straight away.
When forging the Mithril items at the blacksmith's in Bree, be sure to hit the correct buttons as they move past the INNER CIRCLE and not the outta one. So let them move past the first circle then quickly hit them on the second. You will slowly fill up the smaller bar giving you the perfect item.
Do not panic if you have already forged any if not all of them. You can simply go back to the Blacksmith, click on the ones you need and have as many free turns as it takes you.
To unlock the studs achievement I save my game. Then quit my game to the dashboard. Went to network settings on my xbox series x > went offline > restarted my console > went back online > launched the game from the dashboard > loaded my game > collected 1 stud boom achievement unlocked
However this didn’t work for my forging achievements
I finally got my forging achievements to unlock by playing the very first level which also had a forging sequence in in half way through the missions to make a key for the locked door. I speed ran the level and as soon as I loaded back into my open world both popped at the same time
HOWEVER I wish I had just tried this first as before that I decided to try the offline new save method. Where you close the game down completely. Go offline > deleted save data (this only deletes harddrive data which is irrelevant as all your progress is saved in the cloud) I started a new game offline > played until I could forget 2 items (this took a few hours) as soon as I had forged two items I saved > closed down Game completely > restarted Xbox > went online > launched game > chose cloud storage for in old save > nothing happened so replayed the first level in erebor and as I’ve said above it unlocked then. I am unsure if doing both these is necessary or just replaying the first level is sufficient enough
Please comment or get in touch so I can make the guide more accurate.
Only mess with online and offline saved once’s you’re sure you can’t unlock any other achievements. You only wanna mess with saves if you have no choice.
Everytime you press offline or online you should restarted your Xbox as soon as it’s done. Hope this helps someone
There are 32 Mithril schematics to forge into Perfect Mithril items. You need the schematic (refer to “Labouring in the Villages of Men” for more information), a good amount of loot and a certain amount of Mithril bricks in order to even forge an item. Once you have them, travel to the Blacksmith in Bree. Here you will be able to forge a Mithril item which will help you along with your fetch quests.
Please refer to "The Unassessably Wealthy" for location of the Blacksmith.
The forging is a mini-game where you have to press a certain button at the correct time. There are two circles around the piece you are forging; fill up the outer circle for a regular forge and the inner circle for a perfect forge. Button prompts will move towards the center of the circle in correspondence to their location on the controller ( or ). When a button crosses the inner circle, press that button. If you timed it correctly, the inner circle will begin to fill up. Completely fill the inner circle for a perfect forge. Refer to the video below for a visual.
Note: If it’s regular forged it will be a green check mark, if it’s forged perfectly it will be gold. If it is not perfect, you can try again for free by clicking on the item in the menu.
Of course, if you’ve purchased the Perfect Forge red brick and have it turned on, the mini-game will display only one circle instead of two, thus making this much easier.
