*edit* a lot of people are having a glitch with this achievement. Seen this on reddit Replaying the Final Showdown level (mission 12) and doing that family build before destroying the boss unlocked the achievement for me though. This is worth a try please let me know if this worked for you

Has anyone made progress on this? I am in the same boat, and am hoping to not have to replay the entire game.

Smh does this game have a place where you can check your status like Lego Batman 3 or Superheroes 2 cause I have all minikits and this the only achievement I'm missing.

I tried re-playing mission 12 in story mode but it didn't pop the achievement for me...looks like I am gonna have to start a new save.

I had this issue with this one and best of the best - completed al levels with 100% true studs

I usually played from standby mode instead of closing and this can cause achievements not to unlock so you have to exit and reopen it fully, however this won't retroactively unlock achievements so these are impossible for me to get on this save

@tazy1956 no idea where you got 93 minikits from, there are 120 (enough to build 12 micro vehicles).

Each level has ten minikits. You can gather some during story mode, but the majority need to be picked up in free play.

If you're following the Roadmap, then by the time you've finished cleaning up the open world hub, you'll have most of the abilities needed for free play. The only you'll be missing are mind control and super destroy (fist icon) – both of these abilities are found randomly in the character blind bags that you can open in exchange for studs, or you can build a custom hero (by the time I was ready for free play, I had the ability to make a custom character with mind control, but not super destroy). I do recommend unlocking I'm a Billionaire! before buying the characters from the blind bags.

Trophy Germany has put together a video showing the locations of all minikits. He is missing one in Level 5 (House Parr-ty); to get that missing one, you need to shoot the three bosses standing on the fence – Reflux, Screech, and Helectrix.

Before you start collecting minikits, you will need certain character powers so it is suggested that you complete all of the hub world collectibles, crime waves, races, and challenges before replaying each story level in Freeplay. It is recommended that you save all your studs until you've reached a billion for "I'm a Billionaire!", which you should get this after collecting everything in the hub world including doing all challenges.

Note: The minikits are often hidden in the levels, and while you can obtain some in Story Mode, you will have to collect the majority of them in Freeplay. Having the 'Pickup Detector' red brick unlocked and turned on will help find the minikits easier.

Here is a YouTube playlist, courtesy of packattack04082, for all the minikits you will need in the levels.
