How to unlock the Luck Favors the Prepared achievement in LEGO The Incredibles - Definitive Guide

There are 12 Red Bricks total to get, and you get 1 per Pixar Family Build.

The Pixar Family Builds are unlocked when you complete a Crime Wave for a district. After the small cutscene showing the ending of the crime wave and showing the Pixar Family Build appearing, you will regain control directly in front of said build.

Build the Pixar Family Build to receive a character bag with a character from the Pixar Movie reference in the build (Dory, Lightning McQueen, Woody, Wall-E, etc). Use your new character to interact with the build set and you will unlock the red brick contained within. (You don't have to use the newly unlocked character but they will always have the ability needed to interact).

There is no purchase price once you discover a red brick, you simply have to activate them through the Triangle Menu.

Push triangle, then press L1 (or R1 3 times) to get the the Red Brick menu. Highlight the brick you want to use and hit X.

Once you have completed all crime waves a final Pixar Family Build appears in the Financial District for your final Red Brick.

There are twelve red bricks to collect. Collecting them isn't quite as simple as just finding them, like in most LEGO games. Instead, there's a process.

First, you will need to clear a district's crime wave. Once that's completed, you will be able to access a Pixar family build (these are blue and have a ball icon instead of red with an Incredibles icon). Next, collect five incredibricks (they will show up on your map once you've cleared a district) and use them to create the Pixar family build, which will unlock a location and character from a different Pixar movie. Finally, use the new character (not strictly required; you just need their abilities) to do something in this new area to earn a red brick.

Red bricks do not need to be purchased once unlocked. Hold and tab over to the red brick menu to activate them.

Red brick locations are as follows:

  • x2 Multiplier – City Park
  • x6 Multiplier - Waterfront
  • x8 Multiplier - Downtown
  • x10 Multiplier - Industrial
  • Classic Mode – Outer Municiberg
  • Destroy on Contact - Financial
  • Edna Mode...Mode - Docks
  • Fast Interact - Residential
  • Invincibility – Waterfront – unlock Lightning McQueen and gold medal the race that spawns in his build
  • Pickup Detector – Urbem Heights
  • Stud Magnet - Tourist
  • Swing Mode – Waterfront

There is a total of 12 red bricks. Red bricks are collectibles that can assist you in making your playthrough easier, whether it’s Invincibility, attracting studs, or multiplying your stud collecting.

Red bricks are unlocked by completing the 12 Pixar family builds after completing each district's crime waves. After building the build, you usually have to solve a simple puzzle with the Pixar character that is unlocked for the red brick to appear.

To activate the red bricks hold then and you will see the red bricks appear.
