How to unlock the Plane Crazy achievement in LEGO The Incredibles - Definitive Guide

While attempting this achievement I keep playing the beginning of the level.

Turn on the invincibility red brick and start the level don't touch the xbox one controller.

The achievement will pop during the cutscene.

When attempting this achievement, make sure you don't have the 'Destroy on Contact' red brick enabled.

Even if you don't actually make contact with pieces of the plane, you will still be within a certain range that causes unwanted contact.

If you do this in a regular play mode, not free play, the red brick options are disabled. However, I found that if you go into the level on regular mode with them enabled, they will still function, even though the options for them are disabled. So you will need to disable that red brick before going into the level even if not using free play mode.

My achievement must have been glitched then because I had the brick enabled but the achievement just would not pop at all. But I was having issues with other achievements (and still am).

The other solution didn't work for me after several attempts. It was registering damage up to 1-3 times in the second phase of the free fall. I tried this solution - turning Invincibility ON, didn't touch the controls and it worked... So, I would guess it is more about not taking damage.

If you enable the Invincibility red brick as suggested by MathGuy42, there is no need to disable the Destroy On Contact red brick.

The Invincibility Brick makes this very easy, seemingly impossible to fail. Apparently the game is looking to see if you took damage. I turned on the brick, started the level in Free Play, then didn't touch the controller. Achievement unlocked.

I had been playing without Invincibility to easily see if I was hit or not, until I came across this video.

Getting this one is relatively simple.

The key is to focus on and follow the stud rings that appear as you fall. Get as close as possible to falling through the centre of those, and you will avoid the plane parts.

Don't get too focused on where the parts themselves are on screen, as the perspective can mislead you a little and cause you to overcompensate.

The beginning of the level is a free falling stage. Honestly, if you just put down the controller, I'm pretty sure you'll unlock this naturally the first time through – the sequence seems pretty heavily scripted. Otherwise, turn on the invincibility and destroy on contact red bricks and enjoy your free trophy.

This can only be done during Chapter 11, 'Above Parr', during Story or Freeplay.

It is best to unlock this during Freeplay. Once you've done the Pixar family build in the Municiberg hub for the 'Invincibility' red brick which can be done after defeating the crime wave in Waterfront, use Lightning McQueen to do the race track.

Now turn on 'Invincibility' by holding then press twice to get to your red brick menu. When you start the level, you will be free falling from the destroyed plane but being hit by its pieces will not register.

Just turn on the red block for invulnerability and try to fly through the rings

It is better not to turn on the red block, because of it it will not be visible whether you hit it or not

Do nothing until the end of the fall, and the trophy is yours.
