To earn "Incredible" you have to hit the button combo timing perfectly and I mean PERFECTLY. Its based on timing and the slightest input lag or thinking will cost you the attempt. Luckily, there's a bug/oversight from the devs that you can abuse.

In Chapter 3, Jack will have scuffles with a racoon. Its a button mashing "tap" sequence that requires you to hit either

.

At the beginning of the round, press all 3 buttons in unison and keep repeating until the next command comes up. The game doesn't care what you press, as long as the correct input is done as well. So when the input changes, as long as you're hitting all 3 buttons, it will be quicker than the time it takes for you to mentally register which is next.

The goal is to maximize input between each sequence. You will never have to hit the same button twice in a row, which means you only need to jam on two buttons at a time to be sure you maximize the input. So if it first asks

, then mash all 3, then asks for

, you can leave out

and focus on hitting

and

. Afterward, just focus on hitting the two buttons that the previous was not.

The scuffles occur 3 times with a total of 8 "Incredible" button presses needed for the achievement.

This took me a bunch of tries until I followed your solution. The only thing I would add is that in the three segments you’ll never have the same letter back to back. So after the first letter of the segment you only have to button mash the other two letters, and then switch after that letter to the other two.

I had the x2 red brick on. Managed to get incredible on each one intil I reached full studs. Then the gold brick stopped me from seeing what button to press. Only one I missed.

This achievement is not tough! If 'X' pops up on screen just mash the 'X' button. Same goes for buttons 'B' and 'A'. Easy and simple. Did it first go.

I used your method of tapping several buttons at a time, just two of them instead of three. A lot easier to do.

I started each session by hitting X and A. Usually was right. Then if it was X, I would then tap A and B. So much easier and got it in one move instead of restarting over and over.

A trick to restart the level faster: Quick the whole game (not the level). Don't even save. Then start the game up again and it will load right into the same game. Seems to take forever if you try to just quit the level.

Pressing all 3 worked for me, I got incredibles before but achievement never popped. It might be your taps have to be in line with the prompts so going to fast may stop the achievement

Not hard just spam A B or X they go from one button mash to the next. They do not repeat. You do this three times and the last one you will only need to spam two of the buttons takes like 3 mins max

Press all 3 buttons at the same time using your hand like a claw. The game doesn't detect the "wrong" input so hot em all and you'll never be wrong.

I upvoted but the wording of this solution is still not clear. Why not just say the same button doesn't show up twice in a row, or the next button will always be different than the previous button?

Its been... forever.. since I played this but I had audio and video lag on my TV at the time. Noticed when I played games like Guitar Hero but tolerable otherwise. I could not, for the life of me, with version 1.0 of this game, do the QTE's the way you decribe z 4assed monkey.

Youre absolutely right though, just being quick should be enough. I was just proving a point that all 3 buttons are enough because the game penalize for bad inputs.

I had no issues just mashing the button that popped up.

All I did was press it as fast as I could, got Incredible every time, and got the achievement first try.

Just being quick after seeing which one button it tells you to mash is all you need to do. None of this all-three-buttons nonsense.

Honestly, this an easy series of single-button QTEs. Why are you overcomplicating it?

i just got this on my 3rd attempt. 1st attempt i didn't really read the guide very well. my fault. dummy.

2nd attempt i misread the note above about the same button not coming twice in a row. i read it as the same button won't appear within a brawl (sequence of scuffles). so when B was the first scuffle and A was the second, i assumed it would be X for the 3rd and started mashing X... but it was B again. dang. (load times in this game drive me nuts).

I have an elite controller with the bottom right paddle set as B (for another game), so i just squeezed my finger on that trigger whole mashing my thumb across A and X at the start of every brawl. once i was able to (mentally) register which the correct button was, i would mash just that one. but mashing all 3 at the beginning of each scuffle ensured that i was hitting the right one immediately.

GREAT idea for solution. thank god you don't get penalized for hitting the wrong button!

Raven's solution didn't work for me, the button mashing of all three buttons seemed sluggish and didn't even get the first incredible.. You don't have to as fast as Dash to get this just mash with the button in a timely fashion.. For instance I held controller normally and just pressed slightly fast.

Select Freeplay on Revelations.
Select Pest Control.
Fight raccoon as you would using

Random Order, Good luck.

this one and complete the burning apartment level in 9 minutes is too hard for me ugh any advice?

I don't know what to say for the 9 minutes one I suggest doing story mode and only doing the shit that gets you to the end don't worry about anything else.. and for this one just don't take too long and you should be fine again in story mode I did these as to not be distracted by other things

Sorry it didnt work out for you, I used the edge of my thumb to hit all 3 in a row but another player found you can hit two of the three buttons since its never the button twice it a row. The biggest issue with this is the window is so tight, I got the achievement by my solution alone and I bet others did too. Give it another try Deadpool. Good luck!

I just tapped one by one as well , but also started tapping in advance.. if I was unlucky to tap the wrong one in advance I quickly changed to the right one and tapped like my life depended on it :’D . That worked in the fourth try :)

For those having trouble, tapping too fast causes it to fail. Tapping at the pace the boxes fill up, I got this on the first try.

The game seems to only look for the correct button press and doesn't care what else is hit at the same time, so as soon as the racoon fight tumbling about starts ensure your controller in on a hard surface (makes it easier and less crampy) and cover all 4 buttons with your fingers at the same time.
Straight away mash all buttons together before the game tells you which one to tap.
Using this method I've scored Incredible every single time!
I thought hitting the wrong button or another button at the same time forfeited the incredible score but it really does not matter 😁

This achievement is a bit tough.

In Chapter 3, Jack will have scuffles with a racoon. Its a button mashing "tap" sequence that requires you to hit either X, O, or Square. Its based on time so be quick with the pressing. The scuffles occur 3 times with a total of 8 "Incredible" button presses needed for the achievement.

The hardest part is the timing. I have pretty decent reflexes but I the best I could do consistently was "Super" and not "Incredible" until I figured out a little trick... Just mash all 3 buttons at the same time. It feels cumbersome and you might get a cramp but it's a sure fire way to get the achievement. Basically the game is just looking for the right button, all other buttons don't matter and wont hinder the meter.

I tried that but after over 100 tries I still can't get incredible all 8 times. I've gotten 7 out of 8 but my hand keeps cramping up or just plain stops working. This will be the only Trophy I need for platinum once I get the one for not getting hit by a goo cannon.

EDIT: Got the trophy for not getting hit by a Goo Cannon. This is the only Trophy I'm missing and I just can't seem to get all 8 "Incredible".

This can only be done during Chapter 3, 'Revelations', during Story or Freeplay.

Jack-Jack is the star of this level. This level is an interpretation of when Jack-Jack encounters the pesky raccoon in the second movie. There are three sets of random QTEs (quick-time events) in this chapter. You need to score ‘Incredible’ every time and this is done by mashing down

when the circle flashes on screen. You need to be quick and steady with this, because if you falter or pause at any time during your button pressing, you will not score high enough.

The first time occurs in the alley after you blow up the trash can. The raccoon will attack you and you will wrestle. There are three QTEs during this fight.

The second time happens after you shoot the raccoon off of the water cannon. There are also three QTEs in this section.

The final segment happens you use your laser beam on the gold part of the umbrella pole. There are only two QTEs during this fight.

If you are successful in getting all 8 ‘Incredible’ scores, the achievement will unlock. If you miss one, restart the level.

The majority of this stage is a “boss fight” between Jack-Jack and a raccoon. At the end of each phase of the level, Jack-Jack and the raccoon will wrestle, and you will have to pass a few QTE rounds each time. The chosen button is random, but whatever it is, if you mash it quickly enough, you'll get an Incredible ranking.

Some people have reported having trouble scoring an Incredible on these QTEs. I suggest using your index or middle finger instead of your thumb, as well as placing the controller down instead of holding it.
