How to unlock the Truly Incredible! achievement in LEGO The Incredibles - Definitive Guide
It encompasses all of the Pixar Builds and I (Incredibles) Family Builds which are mainly unlocked by completing crime waves. Crime wave completion leads to the entire district markers opening up and otherwise hidden build sites appearing.
One thing to note: I had an issue with the last build showing up. It was in the finacial district and was the last pixar build needed as well. I flew back to previous pixar build, opened it up to receive a purple stud, and flew back to the finacial district and it appeared. It would seem moving a significant amount of distance away from the build site sort of resets it.
Lastly, bare in mind there is currently a bug with achievements and rest mode on your xbox. Do not do the last build after coming back from rest mode and not fully quiting your game. Completion of the last build this way will render the achievement unobtainable in 1 playthrough.
The Family Builds are the large Incredibles logo's on the ground that you stand on and press Circle to build. Pixar Family Builds are like Family Builds but instead of the Incredibles logo it is the Pixar ball.
There are a number of Family Builds in each district that you can create before you have defeated the crime wave in a district. Pixar Family Builds are unlocked once you beat back a crime wave and are the only source of both Red Bricks as well as non-Incredibles characters.
Once you beat a crime wave in a district both types of Family Builds will show up on the map.
After beating every single crime wave and completing all the builds a final Pixar Family Build will be unlocked in the Financial District. Build it and the trophy will Pop.
There are a total of 22 family builds in the game. This includes the story-related ones, the open world hub ones, and the Pixar family ones. You will need to find incredibricks to complete the family builds – generally, the regular ones cost three bricks and the Pixar ones cost five.
To complete a family build, you will need to mash to fill a meter. Each character will have their own meter; if all characters' meters are filled (or at least have the “I” showing), then the build will succeed.
The best strategy for the four-character builds is to go from left to right, filling the meters. By the time you get to the fourth character, the first character's “I” meter should be gone; at this point, go from right to left and top up the characters. This should always result in an “incredible” ranking for the family build, awarding a ton of studs.
They will have a minigame build with the whole family or just two minifigures creating builds of objects. You have to smash fast, move over to each minifigure to fill up the bar to Incredible. You may have to go back and forth, pressing the button really fast, to build it because it lowers after time. Start from left to right and then back if needed.
You'll need to collect Incredibricks located throughout the hub to start building. These are well hidden and helps to have unlocked the 'Pickup Detector' red brick to find them better.
The final family build will be for completing all other builds. This shows up in the Financial District and rewarded with a (Luxor) Junior minifig.
