How to unlock the An expected journey. achievement in LEGO The Lord of the Rings - Definitive Guide

First off you need to purchase Bilbo which you can do by going to Bag End in the Shire located in Eriador. I finished the story before I purchased anyone, so I don'tknow when he is available to be purchased. Anyway, the closest Map Stone to Trollshaws is Weathertop located in Arnor. If you set a destination on any objective in Rivendell the path you follow will take you through Trollshaws. So simply select Bilbo after you purchase him, travel to the Waethertop Map Stone and then set a destination in Rivendell so you head in the right direction. Basically you will head towards a bridge under some trees. The second you are on the other side of the bridge you're in Trollshaws and the achievement should pop.

I'd also add that the second version of Bilbo found in rivendell also works for this as well. Thumbs up!

I'm about 2/3 of the way through the game and I can't access Bag End. I'm assuming I have to complete the game first.

Thanks for this mini guide. Purchased Bilbo in Hobbiton for 125,000 studs and made the journey to Trollshaws as directed above.

Step 1: Buy Bilbo Baggins in Bag End for 125,000.

Step 2: Travel to Weathertop.

Step 3: Once there make sure you have Bilbo selected and follow the path to Trollshaws in the video.

I currently can't find a map stone in this location so I don't think you can fast travel to it, but Trollshaws is east (right) of Weathertop. Just select Bilbo Baggins and head to Trollshaws and your achievement will unlock.

Might wanna mention to "switch to bilbo" you need to finish story mode

For this achievement you will be required to buy Bilbo in Rivendell for 125,000 studs once this is done travel to the Weathertop stone once there face the stone and take a left across the bridge into Trollshaws and take a left again the achievement can pop after a few seconds after crossing the bridge

First, you have to unlock Bilbo Baggins either by purchasing him in the Shire or by entering the code into the extras menu. Codes DO NOT disable trophies.

Bilbo unlock code: J4337V

Next, you will want to fast travel to Weathertop (night or day does not matter). Then walk towards Rivendell. Once you enter the Trollshaws area and walk around a little bit the trophy should pop.

Trollshaws is the location between Weathertop and Rivendell. Fast travel to Weathertop and change your character to either Bilbo Baggins or Bilbo Baggins (Old) and walk towards Rivendell. Once you enter the area and “Trollshaws” appears on the bottom of your screen, this trophy will unlock.

You'll find Trollshaws between Weathertop and Rivendell; it's the small area in which Arwen raised the water from the stream on the ringwraiths following the events of the 'Weathertop' chapter.

To get this achievement press and hold and select the fifth circle going clockwise. From here you can select ANY character. Select either Bilbo Baggins or Bilbo Baggins (Old). Use whichever one you prefer or have unlocked, as both will work for the achievement.

Fast travel to Weathertop, and begins to walk towards Rivendell. Use your map and/or set a destination if you're unsure of how to get there. Upon entering Trollshaws, the achievement will unlock. You can also do the opposite and come from Rivendell and go towards Weathertop if you wish.
