How to unlock the That one counts as mine! achievement in LEGO The Lord of the Rings - Definitive Guide

This came naturally for me in Helm's Deep Story Mode when I was on the rampart (wall) in the second section of the level. I was killing Uruk-hai at a distance with Legolas's bow when this popped, meaning one of them must have engaged with Gimli before I killed it. If this doesn't happen naturally when going for

try switching to Gimli, striking an enemy, then switching to Legolas and killing the enemy.

I would just like to add that you need to kill a Urak-hai that comes up the left hand ladder (one with the smash plate thing infront of it)

That sucks, sorry. I myself am glitched out of 4 "full set" achievements even though I got everything. It should be fine if I start a new game, but it's going to be a while before I feel like it.

The whole swapping from Gimli to Legolas didn't work for me, when the 3rd phase happened. AI Gimli finally decided to attack someone and then i finished them off, achievo popped.

Another solution is having a friend play as Gimli, hitting an urak-hai once then finishing off said urak-hai with Legolas. My stepdad and brother just did it that way. I got this randomly playing with my brother the first time though. He's playing again with my stepdad (who randomly got it as well) My brother needed it so they switched who was being Legolas. My stepdad as Gimli hit an urak once then my brother finished it off and it gave it to him. Had to do it twice before it gave it to him though.

This is my own guide that I recently made for this achievement.

The key here is to defeat an enemy that is in combat with Gimli. For me, I just stood near Gimli and let the enemies come to us, and the cheevo popped after one of the enemies attacked Gimli. Watch the video as I show you the earliest way to get it in the level.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment and let me know if there is anything I can do to improve my solution, thanks!

This achievement is incredibly easy, and will probably come with natural play.

This is obtained on the second section of the Helms Deep level. Free play is not required as you control Legolas naturally through the story.

For an opponent to count as Gimli's, they must climb one of the three ladders with a Gimli smash plate in front of it. As long as legolas kills an enemy from one of those ladders, the achievement will pop.

Any questions, just ask.

In order to get his achievement from the start of the Helms Deep mission destroy the first three ladders so that the full length of the wall becomes available.

Once this is done stay as legolas and constantly run up and down killing all mobs allowing the Gimli to attack a few and the achievement will pop in no time.

(If this does not work try switching to Gimli and attacking an enemy once or twice and switching back to Legolas to finish them off).

This trophy must be obtained in Story mode on the “Helm’s Deep” level. This is easiest to get during the part where you must knock the ladders off the ramparts. You get attacked by an unlimited stream of orcs until you knock the ladders down, so switch to Legolas and keep killing the orcs attacking your party until you get this. If you find that they aren’t attacking Gimli, switch to him with to draw the heat onto him, then quickly switch back to Legolas and attack the orcs.

If you haven’t done so already, you should aim to unlock Pointy-eared Elvish princeling. at the same time.

This achievement can only be earned on the eleventh story chapter, Helm's Deep.

In the level Helm's Deep in story mode, you'll have Gimli, Legolas, and Aragorn as playable characters, which works perfectly for this achievement. Don't use Aragorn as he has no use here.

In the level, the attacking Urak-Hai take two hits to be killed. The first hit eliminates their armor, while the second deals the killing blow. To get the achievement, deal the first strike on an enemy as Gimli, and then finish them off with Legolas.

The achievement doesn't seem to unlock a lot of the time, and I didn't get it right away. If you are following the above instructions with no luck, simply consistently alternate as Gimli and Legolas while fighting Urak-Hai and the achievement will unlock before too long. If you don't get the achievement on your first story mode playthrough, replay the level and try again. It seems to unlock more if the two hits by both characters are done in quick succession, so doing this in co-op will prove easier because of not needing to switch characters for each hit. You can simply have your buddy be Gimli and strike immediately after, and then he can take a turn being Legolas to get the achievement himself.
